Convention. So much information, so much going on and just being able to take part in such an amazing event, it was
Monthly Newsletter
incredible! I will be sharing a full report of what took place and changes that have been made at our next meeting on
Exalted Ruler August 28th.
The month started off with our Lobster feed held on the 8th. I could not have asked for a better turn out. We sold
Steven
Caouette out! There was not an extra lobster to be had. I can not thank everyone enough who pitched in to help whether it be
cooking, serving or cleaning up. You know I can't do this with out you! Go TEAM LOBSTAH! A special thank you to Louis
Leading Knight
Ouellette and Steve Caouette for taking the trek downeast to retrieve the tasty critters! Thank you all! Together we
Debbie make a great team!
Williams
Comedy night at the Lewiston Elks was a great success, we sold out! July 29th was a night full of laughs! I want to
Loyal Knight
extend a special thank you to Mark Turcotte and Maine Event Comedy for providing an awesome night of laughter. No
worries if you missed it, we will be having another fantastic show in September.
Michael
Laroche
If you missed volunteering for the movie nights, you still have a chance! August 9th at Pettingill Park and August 23rd
Lecturing Knight
at Drouin Field. Be there at 5:30, it's a great time! Both nights on July 12th and 26th were a great success. A special
thank you to the Lewiston Police for running out and getting more popcorn when our popper couldn't keep up with the
Real Arnoldy
Secretary crowd!, much appreciated!
We held a benefit dinner on July 21st for one of our own, Rachel Palian, it was amazing. So much love and support
Michele
Mackenzie for a special individual. Everyone pulled together to make this happen and we managed to raise $3460.00 to assist with
medical bills. This is truly what the Elks Family is all about.
Treasurer
It's time for Luau! We will be having our annual Luau party on August 18th. You have your choice of Shrimp Scampi
Linda Caouette for $10.00 or Sweet and Sour Chicken over white rice for $6.00. Both meals come with bread and salad. You are
Esquire encouraged to bring a snack to share whether it be cheese and crackers, chips and dip or a dessert. Drink specials,
50/50, raffle and karaoke, what a great time! This will be an outdoor event weather permitting. Dinner is at 6:00.
Claire Davis
Chaplain We will be setting up a Veterans Box at the lodge. This will be for any donated items on the Veterans Wish List. This
consists of anything an individual would need going in to a new place of their own. Too many times a veteran is in need
Kim Hutchins of a place of his or her own and when placed, all the essentials are needed. You are encouraged to take a look at the
Tiler wish list posted at the lodge and donate what you can to the box. When full, the box will be given to the VA. I thank you
in advance for your generosity to our veterans.
Dick Guerette
Inner Guard It's time for another Lobster Feed! The last one was such a great success, we decided to have another before the
Brian Whitten

Trustee come with baked potato, cole slaw and desert. We sold out at the last one so be sure to get your tickets early!

Anne From here on, Member meetings will take place once a month. The next one being August 28th at 6:30. This is not
Mackenzie just for the moths of July, August and September. This was voted on at the National Convention that loges have the
Trustee option of meeting once a month. There is much information shared at these meetings and you are encouraged to go.
Please also check you email and watch regular mail for updates on our lodge.
Pauline Wilder
