I. PRESENTACIN
El estudiante:
6. Har correcto uso de los diferentes tiempos verbales presentes en las diferentes
unidades que componen el curso.
El presente curso est dirigido a estudiantes con un nivel intermedio de dominio del
idioma ingls y que hayan cursado la materia Ingls para Informtica I, cdigo 997.
Estos dos aspectos facilitarn su desempeo acadmico.
El libro de texto del curso es Infotech: English for Computer Users. Students
Book. 4ta Edicin. Escrito por Santiago Remacha de Cambridge University. Este

V. METODOLOGA
El estudiante debe estudiar el material asignado para cada tutora, tal y como se
explica en el cronograma de la pg. 5. Esto significa leer las explicaciones
gramaticales, realizar los ejercicios de prctica y llevar a su quehacer acadmico o
laboral el vocabulario tcnico, con el auxilio de los diferentes ejercicios presentes en
la unidad didctica.
Los ejercicios de escucha no sern asignados como estudio individual, pues no son el
objetivo central de este curso; sin embargo, el material de audio se pondr a
disposicin de aquellos estudiantes que deseen desarrollar esta habilidad a travs de
la pgina Web de la Ctedra.
VI. EVALUACION
Consideraciones generales:
EXMENES ORDINARIOS
Estas pruebas son escritas y evalan el material estudiado en el libro de texto. Estos
exmenes se llevan a cabo en el centro universitario al cual pertenece el estudiante.
No se permite el uso de diccionario, traductores electrnicos o fichas de estudio.
Tienen un valor de 30% cada uno. Los contenidos incluidos en cada prueba son:
Examen Ordinario I
Unidades 16 al 23. Libro de texto
Examen Ordinario II
Unidades 24 al 30. Libro de texto
TAREAS INDIVIDUALES
Las tareas son una serie de ejercicios comprensivos de los diferentes temas
estudiados. Son un total de 2 y se encuentran en las orientaciones acadmicas. El
porcentaje de cada tarea es de 20% y los contenidos son:

Computing languages
C++ was developed from the C language. It was designed as a systems programming
language with features that make it easy to control the computer hardware efficiently.
It was used to produce the Microsoft windows operating system. It is portable , i.e.
programs written in C++ can be easily adapted for use on many different types of
computer system.
HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is a page description language used
for creating webpages. HTML uses a system of tags to mark page links and formatting.
For example, the tag <u> tells the program to start underlining a text. Although
programs cannot be created using HTML, small programs can be embedded in HTML
code using a scripting language like JavaScript.
