It would be at the height of injustice if I will fail to mention one of my mentors in my life as Rotarian and

as incoming District Governor. As I recall, he was the first among the Past District Governors who
believes in my capacity to lead, aptitude to serve, and competence to perpetuate the ideals of Rotary. I
am referring to Past District Governor Benigno Pichoy Ramirez (please stand sir).

He one of those who guides me to be the best I could be. He is one of those who gave me foresight of
what ahead as District Governor. He is one of those think-tanks that make all our district affairs
successful.

On SARS Payment:
To give emphasize on the message of RI President Ian Risely, he is expecting that all clubs in the District
will settle 60% of the SARS by July of this year. The prompt and full payment will be of great help to
Rotary International as it will deliver its plans and programs for Rotary Year 2017-2018 serving
humanity.

This will be strictly monitored not only by the District but also by the Rotary International as this will
form part of the criteria for RI President Special Citation . I urged and challenged, therefore, all clubs to
rally behind me on this request from RI President Ian.
