The concept
The proposed action is in line with the specific
objective of the Call provide an enabling
environment for income generation activities in
order to prevent specific population tranches
from turning to crime, violence and extremism
through (a) capacity building of 9 youth CSOs and 7
youth initiative groups in their efforts to promote
civic engagement and youth participation in local
development; (b) establishing and expanding a
number of programmes on youth professional skills
and small business development skills building to
increase youth participation in income-generating
activities, employment and self-employment among
youth, which directly refers to the EU-proposed
priorities, as well as (c) development and
strengthening networks among youth groups, and
encouraging their cooperation with local
administrations, similar projects, organisations and
networks in GBAO and outside.
In addition, it addresses the priorities of the
Program of Socio-Economic Development of GBAO
up to 2015, and the National Development
Strategy of Tajikistan to 2015.
The proposed action also responds to the global
objective of the program strengthen the capacity of
the civil society organizations to engage in an
inclusive and participatory policy dialogue in relation
to youth issues through enhancing the capacity of a
youth CSO network and youth debate clubs to
promote civic engagement in youth policy dialogue,
social and economic life of their communities.
Project Specific objective: Expected Results
To create sustainable and structured Result 1: Human and technical capacity of Adult
environment for youth engagement in Training Centre Branch in Khorog to offer mobile
