Hello,
Please proceed with the following support steps....
1. Open an elevated Command Prompt window. To open an ele-
vated Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Acces-
sories, right-clickCommand Prompt, and then click Run as admin-
istrator.
2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin
(This clears out the $Recycle.bin folder for the C:\ drive. You may
have to do this for each hard disk partition in your system.)
3. Type exit to close the Command Prompt window.
I hope this information is beneficial.
Thank you,

Try this:
Right click your Recycle Bin Icon, Click, Properties>>>Untic, Don't
move files to Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted.

your link does not work. please resend. I don't think my recycle
bin has very much in it. but, I have no way to really know because
I can't see the files that were deleted. when I drap into the recycle
bin the deleted item is there, but when I just delete normally, it
does not show up in the recycle bin. "Do not move files to the Re-
cycle Bin. Remove file immediately when deleted" is unchecked in
properties, so I don't why the deleted items are not showing up

An update here...
I ran the command again and then did a restart. After doing a
restart, the Win 7 OSrecognized the problem, deleteted the er-
rant files in the Bin, and now works normally.

Thanks again,

Thanks for this info. In addition to the original problem, I was re-
ceiving a "corrupted Recycle Bin" error when deleting old data-
base files from Quickbooks. This command allowed me to delete
the files, but files of any sort, IE: Word, Excel, etc still do not show
in the Bin...
Hmmmm... PS, I am using Win 7 pro, Office 2010 proand QB 2012
pro with Norton Internet Security latest and greatest
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dave Quillin
