If I am not mistaken then this plant was in the news a while ago on
YouTube being used by an Arab to get healed for cancer [which one??]

It is a shame that we don't use our tradition and the Arabic one for so
many healing possibilities.
I recently spoke to Dr. Mina Faran who told me that this plant [Ephedra
alata] was examined in Israel and that is was found not to contain the
alkaloid ephedra [ like the ephedra sinica] which can raise blood
pressure and can have some other problems.

And after this YouTube there was the following video where
Emuna/Prayer [not from the Jewish corner] caused an Israeli
Orthopedic surgeon hopefully to see the world a bit different.....
