A well designed pneumatic conveying system is often a more practical and economical method
of transporting materials from one point to another. Manufacturers prefer to use Pneumatic
Conveying System over the alternative mechanical systems (belt conveyors, screw conveyors,
vibrating conveyors, drag conveyors) for 4 key reasons:
Bradwood
Packaging guarantee our solutions and products.
From our 30 years experience manufacturing Pneumatic
Conveying Systems, were able draw from our armoury, to
customise the solutions which suits your process, rather than
forcing a process to suit our solutions.
Bradwood
Packaging uses universal and industrial
components to give the machinery extra long life cycles. The
way machinery should be built (this way youre not locked
into expensive proprietary systems).
Manufactured
to comply with Australian and International
A Dense Phase Pressure Machine Safety & Electrical Standards.

Bradwood
Packaging manufactures complete lines from
filling, sealing through to palletizing
Bradwood Packaging use advanced manufacturing techniques to produce the highest quality
components, with finely designed machined parts. Seamless welds are used during construction of
critical parts to ensure smooth, crevice free joints. This is important for ease of cleaning, durability
and a vital characteristic for food and pharmaceutical products.
Our systems are available to operate in isolation, or can be designed to work in conjunction with a
number of feeding solutions such as IBCS, Silos, tanks, big bags and sacks.
Scale Diverter Valve In the food, pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries, a large
number of products may be pneumatically conveyed, including
salt, sugar, flour, starch, spices (food) or yeast granules,
glucose, talc, paracetamol (pharmacy) etc. Other sectors using
this system include the chemical, plastic, water and mineral
industries. PVC resins, limes, silica sands, soda ash, iron oxides,
calcium carbonates, cement, fly ash, talcs, and detergents are
suitable for Pneumatic Conveying.
Rotary Seals
Conveying lines can be both vertical & horizontal, and practical systems may be up to 300 metres
long. Good design minimises bends or uses sweeping bends where space permits. Systems
often route through walls which are core drilled to suit your selected pipe diameter. It is easy to
integrate Bradwood Packaging systems into existing set ups while consuming minimal floor space.
Bradwood Packaging offers more solutions then anyone.from vacuum conveying to pressure
based conveying systems
Although there are dozens of different pneumatic conveying configurations, the systems can be
divided into two types:
1. Dilute Phase
2. Dense Phase
Dilute Phase
Dilute Phase Pressure Dilute Phase Systems can be further divided into 2 main types
1. Dilute Phase Pressure
The air blows into the line and conveys from the product
source(s) to the product destination. A filter at the destination
cleans the exhaust air. This is the most popular configuration
2. Dilute Phase Vacuum
The air is sucked through a filter at the destination, drawing
product into the air stream. The method is ideal for manual or
bag unloading stations or other portable product sources
Dense Phase Pressure Dilute Phase for pneumatic conveying typically has the lowest
initial investment cost.
1.
Fan blowers and vacuum pumps with high flow,
low pressure characteristics
2. Rotary airlock valves, venturis, or Cone
Valves
Dense Phase
The basic concept of Dense Phase Conveying is that a pulse of air is used to force a plug of
material from one point to another. The air has high pressure and low velocity. It is ideal for Higher
density products or conveying longer distances.
Dense phase is the best option for abrasive & pre blended products.
The system and design principles in this Pneumatic Conveying Systems Brochure give you some
basic information. To make sure you get the right Pneumatic Conveying Systems, you should talk
to Bradwood Packaging sales engineers. They will action the complex calculations in sizing correct
pipes, particle sizes, densities, air pressures, types of componentry to be used.
Please advise as much information as known to assist with system design, include a sketch of
proposed conveying path.

To deliver on our commitment of providing quality, reliable packaging and bulk handling equipment,
Bradwood Packaging understands its more than just delivering a well built & designed packaging
machine. it also requires a team of dedicated people who care and are there to back you up with
great Service & Support.
The quality of our team sets as apart. Most companies choose to outsource these services
to contractors, or buy machinery from overseas as a so called agent. They do not have the
knowledge base to support or maintain their equipment long term.
Bradwood Packagings solutions are designed to fit your factory systems, to do this requires a team
of professional trained tradesmen.
When Bradwood Packaging starts building your packaging equipment, an army of skilled
