PVT LTD
Traditionally overhead transmission lines
have been built on lattice type
yp structures.
For years, this has been found
structurally stable and time tested
solutions and there was hardly any
reason for change
However, of late, significant ROW and
aesthetics issues have stalled
construction of new transmission line
corridors.
With rapid urbanization and spread of
i d t i li ti over existing
industrialization i ti agricultural
i lt l
lands , solutions with narrow corridors
and smaller footprints crying need of the
day for completion of critical
transmission corridors
Replacement of traditional structures
with monopole kind of structures is a
significant step in this direction.
ADVANTAGES

Less right-of-way

For Example a 132 kV Mono pole can be

erected within a foot print of 2

3 Mtrs

Efficiently erected along Highways and

Railway Lines
ADVANTAGES

Significant wind-loading capacity

Smallest footprint of all tower types

In case of Broken wire more deflection of steel pole
can reduce the tension in the intact span and
bending moment at the base
Round and Multi side design can reduce wind load
Steel Poles are more effective in case of tornado or
hurricanes
