Registration for Spot Admission: The eligible candidates should register for Spot Admission
through ONLINE portal (http://misreg.nitt.edu:8080/MTECHSPOTADMISSION) from
04:30 p.m. on 04.08.2017 to 09:00 a.m. on 07.08.2017, after paying Registration fee (Rs.500/-
for OC/OBC candidates and Rs.200/- for SC/ST/PwD candidates) through State Bank Collect
(https://www.onlinesbi.com/prelogin/icollecthome.htm?corpID=88587). Such online
registered candidates (registered during 04.08.2017 to 07.08.2017) only will be considered
for Spot Admission. After successful completion of registration, a printable (pdf) version of
Spot Admission Registration Form will be generated. Candidates who have registered will have
to personally report to National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli at 9:00 a.m. on
08.08.2017 along with the printout of their Spot Admission Registration Form, printout of
Registration Fee payment slip and all the original certificates (as given in next page).

Seat Allotment: The seat allotment will be strictly based on the GATE score (2015/2016/2017),
academic eligibility and category to which the candidate belongs (i.e., as per CCMT-2017
procedure, www.ccmt.nic.in).
The eligible candidates who have registered through online for Spot Admission
at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli should be present in person
on 08.08.2017 at 9:00 a.m. for Spot Admission. Any registered candidate
reporting after 9:00 a.m. will not be considered for further process.
Candidates are requested to note that the deadline of 9:00 a.m. on
08.08.2017 will be strictly followed.
Instructions:
In case a candidate gets a confirmed seat,
1. He/she has to pay the institute fee and produce the following documents in original for
verification and submission, failing which his/her seat allotment, will be cancelled and that
seat will be allotted to the next registered candidate in the list.
i. Photo id proof of candidate (Pan card, Voter Id, Aadhaar card, etc.)
ii. Printout of the Spot Registration Form
iii. Printout of State Bank Collect payment Receipt
iv. Transfer Certificate issued from the institute last attended
v. Migration Certificate
vi. GATE score card (2015/2016/2017)
vii. Statement of Grades/Marks obtained in the qualifying Examination (preferably
Consolidated Grade/Mark Sheet)
viii. Degree / Provisional Certificate
ix. Course completion certificate for result awaiting candidates
x. Birth certificate or Class X Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.
xi. Class XII certificate
xii. Certificate of physical fitness obtained from medical officer as per the prescribed format given
in Annexure-II
xiii. Certificate of category (OBC/SC/ST), if applicable, issued by the competent authority as
per the prescribed format given in Annexure-II (OBC category certificate must be
issued on or after 01.04.2017)
xiv. OBC undertaking form for OBC candidates as given in Annexure-II
xv. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) issued by Medical Board notified under
PWD Act (format given in Annexure-II)
xvi. Late submission undertaking form (format given in Annexure-III), if necessary
xvii. One set of self-attested copy of all the documents listed above (except sl. No. ii, iii and xvi)

Note:
In case, the candidate is not able to produce the certificate listed above in Sl.
No. (iv), (v), and (viii) at the time of admission due to result awaiting/late
issuance of certificate etc., he/she has to produce Late Submission undertaking
form as per the prescribed format given in Annexure-III
If any certificate is in languages other than Hindi or English, true copy of the
same in English version is to be produced.
Bring 4 Nos of recent colour photographs (2 Passport size and 2 stamp size)
Candidates are advised to keep SCANNED COPY of all their original
certificates and sufficient number of attested photo copies of all the certificates
for their future use since all the Original Certificates submitted to National
Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli will be retained in the Institute till the
completion of the M.Tech. programme or till the withdrawal of admissions.
Those candidates who have taken admission already through CCMT-2017 process
in any NIT and wish to participate in the Spot Admission 2017 at NIT,
Tiruchirappalli have to cancel their admission before appearing for Spot Admission.
a. Those candidates who have appeared for final semester/year examination, provisional
admission is permitted provided their final marks are made available on or before 15th
September, 2017.
b. Any candidate admitted provisionally shall produce the provisional/degree certificate
and all mark lists in original on or before 15th September, 2017. Else, their admission
shall stand cancelled automatically. For such candidates refund will be made as per
the applicable institute norms.
c. All M.Tech./M.Arch. students will get the Stipend only after the submission of
Mark/Grade sheets, Degree/Provisional certificate, Transfer certificate and Migration
certificate to this Institute.
Hostel Fee: All those who seek admission in the hostels are requested to bring a
separate DD drawn in favour of The Chief Warden, NIT, Tiruchirappalli , payable
at Tiruchirappalli for a sum of Rs. 29,250/- towards the Hostel and mess fees.

favour of Fee Account, NIT, Trichy payable at Trichy)

favour of The Chief Warden, NIT, Trichy payable at Trichy)

3. General Information
i. Hostel Facilities: Separate Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls.
ii. Banking facility: State Bank of India (SBI) branch is functioning in
NIT,Tiruchirappalli (NITT), Campus. (Bank Branch Code: 1617). ATM facilities are
also available.
iii. Location of the Institute: Tiruchirappalli is well connected by Air, Rail and Road
network. NITT is situated in a place called THUVAKUDI on the northern side
of the Tiruchirappalli - Thanjavur road, 20 Kms away f r o m Tiruchirappalli junction.
Tiruchirappalli junction is one of the important Railway junctions of Southern
Railways.
iv. Reaching NITT Campus: All mofussil buses plying between Tiruchirappalli Central
Bus Stand and Thanjavur, stop at NIT Main Gate. (Tiruchirappalli Central Bus
Stand is about half a KM from Tiruchirappalli Railway Junction).
v. Town Bus No. 128 from Tiruchirappalli Central Bus Stand to Thuvakudi stops at NIT
Main Gate.
