Along with the vast development and modernity, investing in stocks has been one of the most effective and efficient
ways for individuals and families to accumulate capital, build wealth, and grow their passive income. Yet, despite
being a topic that is covered with a lot of misconception, many of whom look upon a share of stock as being some
mysterious force that is beyond rational explanation such as a series of letters and numbers that fluctuate on digital
ticker tape and cause brokerage and retirement account balances to rise and fall without rhyme or reason. In case
of that, I will give a speech about the stock and investment.

First of all, what Is Stock? Put simply, a share of stock represents a share in the ownership of a company. Stock
represents a claim on the company's assets and earnings. When we get a share of stock usually we become a
shareholders. Shareholders cannot do as they please with a corporation or its assets. A shareholder cant walk out
with a chair because the corporation owns that chair, not the shareholder. This is known as the separation of
ownership and control.

The corporation stock are traded in stock markets. The developed stock markets function in a way that they increase
savings and provide opportunities to investors to do productive investments that boost economic growth. Stock
markets also provide the opportunities to investors to make diversified investments in reducing their risk. In well-
developed stock markets, the risk probability is also low due to which the investors do not hesitate to invest in long
term promising projects. So, the investors can sell their stocks at any time with minimum effect on actual
investments which retains the capital in the firms and is not prematurely removed to meet short-term needs.

In addition, stock market plays a vital role in allocating funds to the corporate sector, which will have a real effect
on the economic growth. Generally speaking, the stock market will reflect the economic conditions. If theres a lot
of investment happened it will increase economy growth then output will be increasing and most firms should be
experiencing increased profitability. This higher profit makes the company shares more attractive because they
can give bigger dividends to shareholders, and then the cycle keep happened and lead to economic growth. Although
theres a lot of other things that need to be calculated.

Indonesia Stock Exchange as we known as Bursa Efek Indonesia is a stock exchange based in Jakarta, Indonesia. the
Indonesia Stock Exchange had 462 listed companies with a combined market capitalization of $426.78 billion. In
mid-September 2016, On September 21 2016 total daily transactions average is more than 250,000
transactions/day with average value Rp 6,400 billion/day. Indonesia stock exchange market cap set the second
highest in the Southeast Asia with $446.41 billion below Singapore with $476.91 billion. (Ga nemu data yang

So if we can managed to play our role in stock market, we will gained passive income and also help to increase
