BIG CHANGES!
God has been doing some amazing things in my life and in the
ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship here in Central Alabama.
Most recently I made the transition from part time to full time
work as the Ministry Assistant at the local office. God used many
separate factors that led to this change, but in short, the local
committee approved the chapters taking me on in a sort of
sponsorship role. I had been praying for God to move in my life in
big ways, but I never expected this!
The central chapter will begin paying my full support and, over the
course of a year, will gradually decrease its level of support as I
raise my own personal support. In addition to my former duties of
processing volunteer paperwork and keeping it up to date, as well
as helping to put on fundraising events, trainings, and ministry
opportunities, I will now also be focusing on taking steps toward
becoming a certified trainer, putting out more frequent updates
and information, and expanding our scope of ministry in the

$580 pursuing the goal of being fully supported through a local support
team of individuals and churches. If you are interested in knowing

 WHATS HAPPENING?

God has been advancing his kingdom in many

ways here in Central Alabama. In the month of
December 2016, God used almost 20 Good
News Clubs to reach over 1,000 children in the
area. Those numbers are ever increasing as we
add new church partners and enter new
schools. We are diligently praying about adding Our booth at the Young

The event will be held Friday March 31, 2017 at Lower
Wetumpka Shot Gun Sports. This event is for all friends
and supporters of CEF. The proceeds will be used to meet
the needs of and advance the ministry in Central
Alabama. For more information you can request a flyer

Ms. Jody was serving in Single Moms
Ministry at her church, when a friend
suggested she contact CEF of Central
Alabama, to do a Good News Club for the
children while their moms were in bible
study. After holding on to the brochure for
a while she passed it along to her pastor,
who contacted the local chapter. God used
her to form a partnership between our two
ministries.

Single Moms Ministry. Our Good News
Club team was so pleased to be invited to
join their volunteers, cook team, and
supporters at this breakfast, where we
were able to hear encouraging
testimonies of how the children, parents,
and church body have been impacted by
our work there.
SINGLE MOMS MINISTRY AND
GOOD NEWS CLUB
In October, I was able to begin a Good News Club
that meets every other Thursday night at Perry Hill
United Methodist Church. Perry Hill UMC hosts a
Single Moms Ministry that supports women through
Bible Study, as well as practical skills and support.
The church invited us to minister to the children of
these women during the womens Bible Study time.
We have a relatively small and consistent group of
children who have become dear to us. Alongside me,
I invited Jamal Frazier, Ruth Barnes (pictured above
teaching Bible Lesson), and Mioshey Collins, all of
whom have served for many years with the summer
CEF ministry. We have been encouraged and
challenged by this work. My favorite memory so far
has been when the children were blown away by the
story of Jesus turning water to wine. I remember one
boy shouting BUT ITS WATER! and all I could say
in return was I KNOW, RIGHT? Their wonder at the
word has opened my heart to a better understanding
of so many truths God has taught me.
