The talent, commitment and creativity of our people is critical to the

success of our business. By bringing together some of the best and
brightest minds in the industry, and working collaboratively, we deliver
leading edge, sustainable engineering solutions.

Our size means that no-one in our business is lost. Ideas form the very
foundation of everything that we do and those ideas come from all levels
of the business. As such the development of Graduates is one of our key
business priorities. We work hard to nurture you carefully through your
career. Our Graduates quickly become key members of our project teams
and are given real responsibility from the outset.

I find the period from early September to Christmas to be one of the highlights
of our year and I thoroughly enjoy meeting our new cohort of new talent
when our Graduate intake joins us. I hope that you will consider Cundall
as a place to build the foundations for a long and successful career. I very
much look forward to meeting you as part of a future intake!
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

Cundall is a business which is constantly seeking to develop and

we do this through developing our staff and working on the most
exciting projects. This makes us the ideal company to join as a
Graduate or at any time in your career. We are small enough to care
about you and value your involvement and development but big
enough to be working on the most exciting international projects.

Cundall work with the most exciting clients to provide engineering

consultancy services covering the entire life cycle of any building
project. Taking a refreshingly positive approach to engineering design
we have positioned ourselves at the forefront of sustainability in the built
environment, with particular expertise in carbon reduction, improving the
quality of the indoor environment, water conservation and sustainable
materials.

Award winning practice, projects and people.

Cundall regularly win awards recognising our achievements in our work and
how we operate as a business.

We have won numerous green design and innovation awards for our
practical approach to our projects and are justifiably proud of our
achievements to date in reducing the environmental impact of our business
and our projects, and in driving change in the property industry in all of
the countries where we operate. We look forward to continuing to play an
active role in transforming the built environment and informing, educating
and engaging with the people and communities who use the buildings we
design.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

Sustainability is at the core of our business and we try to build it into

all that we do. Cundall is the worlds first consultancy to be formally
endorsed as a One Planet Company by sustainability charity
BioRegional. This is based on the 10 One Planet Living Principles
originally developed by WWF and BioRegional.

Cundall shares the One Planet vision of a sustainable world in which people
everywhere can enjoy a high quality of life within the productive capacity of
the planet, with ample space remaining for wildlife and wilderness.

www.oneplanetliving.org

We are a leader in the design of sustainable buildings both in the UK and

around the world for which we have won many awards. We support this
by carrying out our own research and development. Two recent examples
of this are the book, What Colour is Your Building, written by David Clark,
one of our Partners, and widely acknowledged as a step forward in how we
design sustainable buildings and an ongoing piece of research around how
we use plants in buildings more effectively to improve air quality and reduce
energy demand.

Immediate, on-project training was a great introduction and exposed me

to many aspects of the sustainable building industry, very quickly. In my first
six months I was involved in projects covering a range of sectors including
office, retail, large scale residential and education. Tasks I have worked on
have widened my perception of sustainability and how design impacts on
occupants and the environment.

For one project I was able to produce an energy and sustainability planning
statement, which looks at the buildings efficiency. I then did the heating
and cooling loads calculations for the building. Finally I conducted a Low
and Zero Carbon technologies investigation to determine which technology
would be best suited to provide clean energy - believe me there is so much
more to renewables than PV panels on the roof!

I am doing the same thing I was
doing the day before. There is great
variety and pace in the industry.

I have worked on numerous
