Book Talks
Every quarter you will be reading one book that you choose and presenting what you find to the class.
You will choose the book based on the attached list. The books with the * icon are books that have no
huge secular themes, the one without, may contain secular content. You must write a 2 page paper on the
theme of the novel you choose (we will go over directions for this later), and you must do a short
presentation to the class on your book as well. You may present in a number of ways, as long as you
cover the basic idea of the book and at least four items on the list below. Your presentation must be three
minutes long (Dont worry, its not that much). Your classmates will also have a chance to answer
questions about your book.
You must identify: Author, Setting, plot, protagonist, antagonist, Theme, Title meaning, and then
choose 4 from the list below:
