THE MINIMUM WAGES (TAMIL NADU

An Act fwrhrr t o ninend the Minimum Woge;. Act, 1948
in its applicntion to the State of Thmil Nadu.

BB it enacted by the Legisl: ture cf the Stzte 0, ?.mil
Nadu in the Thirty-second Year cf the Rzpublic of India
as follows :--

1. (1) This Act may be called the Minirn~mWages Short title,
(Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 1981. extent and
commencement.
(2) I t extends to thc wlro1c of t b State of Tamil
Nadu.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the
State Government may, by notification, appoint.

2. In the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act Insertionof*

XI of 1945), after section 9, the following section shall new section'9-A
be inserted, nameiy :- Central ~ cXI
