How do we re-see something we walk past everyday with new eyes?

Task Objective: Use drawing processes and procedures to create a

series of works in wet and dry media culminating in at least one final
mixed media work

You are going to be investigating the natural environment and the urban environment
Exploring and expressing ideas relating to:
Your inner life What you feel about these places
Your outside life What you see in these places
You will be studying the practice of two established artists and using their styles and
techniques in a series of drawings, paintings and prints.

A. 1x square abstract photograph printed in colour and mounted on black card

B. 1x sketch page using charcoal pen, ink and pencil with bullet pointed artist model
elements

C. 1x A3 page Nicky Foreman mix media art piece

1x A3 swoon sketches with bullet pointed artist model elements (Line & Tone Drawings
- pencil, pen and ink)

D. 2x A5 sketched swoon compositions pencil

E. 2 x A4 Mono prints with annotated feed back (1x black and white 1 x final printed on
background)

F. 2 x A5 sketches combining Nicky foreman elements and swoon elements into a new
composition (pencil)

G. 1 x Final A1 mixed media composition

drawings should use a range of media and techniques including pencil and wash, ink
and dye which describe the surface of the chosen subject. At least two drawing
techniques must be evident. These may include but are not limited to layering,
gestural drawing, tonal blending, mark-making, hatching. Use your visual references
to help you with this work.
