Bending moment for uplift cases will be calculated based solely on selfweight, soil depth and surcharge loading.

As the footing size has already been determined based on all servicebility load cases, and design moment
calculation is based on selfweight, soil depth and surcharge only, top reinforcement value for all pure uplift load
cases will be the same.

DETERMINE DESIGN TENSILE STRENGTH :

N n min N s , N cb , N pn , N sb = 202.80 kN

CHECK FASTENER SHEAR STRENGTH : (ACI 318, D.6.1.2b & ASCE 14.2.2.17)

(for built-up grout pads, first factor shall be multiplied by 0.8, ACI 318 D6.1.3)
CHECK CONCRETE BREAKOUT STRENGTH FOR SHEAR LOAD : (ACI 318, D.6.2.1a)

occur.
AV / AVo and cd,V terms are 1.0 for single shear fastener not influenced by more than one free edge.
l term is load bearing length of the anchor for shear, not to exceed 8d.
CHECK PRYOUT STRENGTH FOR SHEAR LOAD : (ACI 318, D.6.3.1)

= 405.59 kN > Vua [Satisfactory]

where : = 0.75 x 0.75 = 0.5625
c,N term is 1.0 for location where concrete cracking is likely to occur.
kcpp = 2.0 for hef > 2.5 in.
DETERMINE DESIGN SHEAR STRENGTH :

V n min V s , V cb , V cp = 25.91 kN

CHECK TENSION AND SHEAR INTERACTION : (ACI 318, D.7)

Since Nua,1 > Nn and
Vua,1 > Vn the full design strength is not permitted.
The interaction equation must be used
