The 6 Ps

PROMPT Always be on time. This is a reasonable request. In the

workplace, when you are late three times, you are fired.

PREPARED You need to show up with your tools of the trade.

-pencil
-paper
-book (maybe)
-Physically prepared for school
-Emotionally prepared.
-If you cant do it at Chik Fil A or Geico, you cant do it
in the classroom.

POLITE -Respect and dignity

-Treat other people how you would be treated
Ex: Gay/retarded why are you putting down an entire
group of people for something they cannot change

PMA -Positive mental attitude

Get bigger than your story
-Dont be a victim (helpless and hopeless) take
responsibility for your actions. What are YOU going to
do to change your circumstances.
-There is nothing that the universe can put in your way
that you cannot overcome.`

PARTICIPATE -Everyone in this classroom is valuable and has something

to contribute.
PRODUCE Take care of business! Complete your work to the best of
your ability. I will treat you like adults, but you need to
act like one. It is my job to maintain a safe environment.
Ex: If I ask you to do something and you refuse, I do not
know what you will do next. This is called
insubordination and I will have to have you removed from
class. It is a major safety concern.
If you always do what youve always done, youll always
get what youve always got.
Things to remember for Thompsons class:
Due Process If there is a rule, you should be aware of it before you are
asked to follow it.
If you are tardy over 3 times, I will contact your parents.
Tardies- If you are absent over 5 times, I will contact your parents.
If you are habitually tardy or absent, you will receive an
attendance referral.

Seating- - If you are not in the correct seat, you are absent
Behavior -If I need to remind you more than twice, you will need to
fill out a problem solving sheet in the hallway/office
Cell -If you are given a reminder, you have one more chance
Phones/Electronics before the phone is taken away as an excessive distraction.
If there is any issue, the phone will be taken to the deans
office.
Bathroom First or last 10 MINUTES of class, do not ask to use the
restroom. I will not let you. There is one pass for one
person to leave at a time.
Entering and Exiting There will usually be a Do Now for you to complete
Class when you enter the class. This will occasionally be given
a quiz grade randomly and will always be turned in.

DO NOT LINE UP BY THE DOOR. THE BELL OR

YOUR TEACHER WILL RELEASE YOU. IF YOU
LINE UP BY THE DOOR, MORE TIME WILL BE
ADDED
Food Snacks are okay if they are not distracting. Whole meals
are not. Clean up after yourself.
