As a Social Worker both professionally and curriewise with a strong Local Government
back ground, I have a practical experience in dealing with community service
programmes. I have been involved in technical planning and budgeting in both lower
and higher Local Government i.e. Participatory Planning at Village, Parish and Sub
County and District level which is a basis for funding of all activities for the communities.

As one of my routine duties as a CDO and Probation Officer, I have been writing both
monthly and quarterly reports to the Sub County Chief District Community Officer as
well as a Chief Administrative Officer and the Magistrates Court. This helps in
analyzing the strength, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement in service
delivery.

In addition to the above competencies, I have been ably communicating both verbally
and in writing to my immediate supervisors and communities mobilizing them towards
development programs which have led to enhancement in levels of their knowledge in
development programs.

As a coordinator of the District Human Rights Desk and a student of Human Rights I do
understand human rights approaches.

Statement of Interest

My Name is Wanderema Issah Musa a Ugandan by nationality working for Manafwa

District Local Government in Eastern Uganda (East Africa).

I do hereby express my interest in undergoing a training program in Entrepreneurship

from 15th September 2017 10 May 2018 in Hawaii and Florida United States of
America.

I hold a post graduate Diploma in Public Administration, a Bachelors Degree in Social

Science, Diploma in Law and a Capacity Building Short Course Training Certificate in
Entrepreneurship Skills from India National Entrepreneurship Institute for small
Business Development (NEISBUD) Noida Republic of India in January March 2016.

Uganda is one of the 3rd World Countries and yet it has one of the youngest and fastest
growing populations in the world.

There are various institutions in the country training people in different disciplines to
become job seekers than not job creators, hence leading to high levels of un
employment resulting into poverty.

Therefore it is against this background that I wish to submit in my application for

consideration to undergo the said training in order to support the young population of
Uganda to move out of poverty through trainings, advocacy, community sensitization,
and campaigns on Entrepreneurship programs for self reliance, sustainability and
