Anybody got any good ways of forcing a time of day. The best I've seen so far is on
the Luke Jermay DVD, but anybody got any killer ideas? It's for a sort of book test I'm
playing with using a TV guide

OSterlind's method (I think it's the same Jermay uses in his DVD) seems to suit
perfectly for what you're looking for.

I once learned a method from Greg Arce that's totally clean. Nothing pre-written, very
few words said, no impressions, nothing.

This is the way it looks:

Special user 1. set the time on a watch and place it face down--anywhere (regular watch, you can

borrow it...).

2. have the person ll in the time on a piece of paper.

3. have the person flip the watch over... times match. (Subsequently, you'll have to
keep your cell phone handy in case they die of a heart attack.)

There is literally nothing more to see.

If you happen to know Greg, ask. It might work out well for you.

I think Greg is now going to be bombarded with PM's, and one of them will be from
me.

There is a 'psychological method' to force a time, Derren Brown mentions it in his

book Pure Effect in the section about 'Communactive subtilties'.

Inner circle Its not 100% as you may guess, and it is tricky to get the right mix between obvious,

Remember to look at the Patrik Kuffs video for a nice one.

You spin the hands of a faceup watch and someone calls stop.

Push in the stem.

Thats it.

I remember reading a Marc Salem review where someone sets the hands of a
facedown watch at random, and then Salem has a kid look over his shoulder as he
spins the hands of his watch faceup...kid calls stop.... and the times of both watches
match.

I think that's how it went.

A nice clean looking effect.

Most of the answers that I would have given already have.

Befv Bergeron's origianl Predicting time. Bev sold the manuscript at one time. It is the
method used by many of borrowing a watch, pulling out the stem, showing the hands
move, turning the watch face down, they continue to turn the hands without looking
and push the stem in at some point. Your time has been forced.

Of course, Banachek tips some great ideas on how to force a time (number) in his
book "Psychokinetic Time". The method can be applied not only to his method, but
also to other "time traveling".

Paul,

Al Mann had a force (based on a math principle) in his manuscript Death Watch.

The times on two watches are combined resulting in a force time.
