Tenth Asian Science Camp (ASC)-2016 has been scheduled to be held during August 21-27, 2016 at J.N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Over 220 students from all over Asian countries are expected to participate in this event. The previous camps were successfully held at Taipet (2007), Bali (2008), Tsukuba (2009), Mumbai (2010), Daejeon (2011), Jerusalem (2012), Tsukuba (2013), Singapore (2014) and Thailand (2015). Every year the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India is extending its support to bright students to participate in the ASC. ‘The DST will cover all expenses towards their travel to Bangalore and back, by AC Ill tier. There will be no registration fee and the camp organizing committee will provide the participants local hospitality at the camp in U1Se, Bangalore. It is requested that you may nominate 2 or 3 students (preferably the top scorer) from your institution who are pursuing basic science course (Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Biology) in the 1* year BSc/B.S,/Int. MSc./MS. program during the academic year 2015-16, The students have to be outstanding in Physics/ Chemistry /Biology /Mathematics. The students to be nominated should: bea KVPY/INSPIRE Fellow have proficiency in oral as well as written English and show a genuine interest in Science and Research be able to attend the ASC-2016 for the full duration have written consent from their parents and permission from Head of the educational Institutions for participation in the ASC-2016 at Bangalore, India.
