Solo Clarinet in Bb
Matthew Burke
Preface
Duration 8 30
Score is Transposed.
Program Note:
Performance Notes:
- When a glissando between two notes in indicated with a line going down and then up this is telling
the performer to gliss down to an undetermined note and then back up to the proceeding pitch;
- A dotted line above the stave with the text P.M. is an indication to produce a multiphonic. The
actual pitch produced above the fundamental is the performers choice;
- The smaller stave which appears under the main clarinet line tells the performer when to sing
pitches in order to produce a chord between their voice and the clarinet;
- When glissando lines appear on this small, voice stave it is telling the performer to sing long
glissandos between any two pitches;
