The following work is done with the purpose of determining the cost of the operation
and transport necessary for the design of the 20km track.

For this, our first step is to determine the compacted volume of material generated by
this Project.

Area calculation

Area = (7.3 * 0.6) + () * 2

A = 5.1m2
Computed Volume Calculation

Vs = 5.1m2 * 20000m

Vs = 102000 m3

Calculation of bank volume using an expansion factor of 30%

Vqua = 102000 m3 * 1.3

Vqua = 132600 m3

Taking into account the possible loss of material we decided to have this factor to
increase the volume in bank by 5%

VTotal = 132600 m3 * 1.05

VTotal = 139230 m3

Excavation
For the excavation we are based on this picture of unitary prices of the Boyac
governor of rock excavation with compression and dynamite.

We do not use auxiliary for economic reasons, since it would be an unnecessary

additional cost.
For the exploitation of a cubic meter of our materials we use:

Value = total (sum of U) X Total volume

Value = 59.496 ($ / m3) x 139230 m3

Value = $ 8`283,628,080

Note: We decided to use an average of one detonator per cubic meter to decrease the
total exploitation value.

TRANSPORTATION COSTS
Knowing that the volume that we need to transport is 139230 m3 we draw a budget of
the governorship of Boyac with Apus year 2017 that helped us to obtain the
transportation costs.

The first thing we did was find the value of the trips necessary to transport all the
material knowing that the dump we hired has a capacity of 14 m3.

Then we look at the times that a dump was used to come and go according to the
speed of travel.
We look at the total times a dump is spent taking into account the loading and
unloading times were 0.25 hr which is what you normally spend.

We look at how much you spend a dump in days to satisfy the number of trips taking
into account that we will work with the dump 12 hours a day.

Now we do the analysis to know how many dumps are necessary to finish the
transport in a bone month 30 days.

It can be noticed that the number of necessary dumpers is of 28 to fulfill the total
transport in 30 days.

We proceed to find the costs of our dump trucks knowing that it charges us eighty
thousand pesos an hour including driver for it.

Then we multiply by the number of days that will be used that would be 30.

Finally we get the total value of what we cost the 28 volks we hired.

In conclusion we opted for a cost of $ 59.496 thousand pesos for the excavation of a
cubic meter of material, so we need 139230 m3 which gives us an approximate value
of $ 8`283.628.080 which is what we need to carry out the Excavation work
