Please provide a brief essay (500 words) describing your interest in human rights

work:

Human rights are a matter of global importance as its violation is rampant in

every sphere. Be it intra-nation or inter-nation violation of human right is more
visible after these rights were recognised around mid-part of the last century. It
is the duty of the Government and the society at large to protect these basic
human rights. But nowadays these basic rights are violated in inhuman manner.
Human rights is the birth right of every human being. Therefore it must be
protected.
My interest is for the protection of child rights as they are the most
vulnerable ones of the society and moreover they cannot defend themselves.
Whether it is child trafficking, child marriage, sexual abuses, child-labour,
kidnapping, children in conflict areas, children being the vulnerable ones are most
of the time being deprived of their basic rights. Therefore it is the duty of every
citizen to protect these needy children. Children who are the future generation of
our society need to be nourished, cared, educated and be provided with a healthy
environment so that they possess a strong personality as an adult. The rights of
the children are violated not only in India but also almost all the counties of the
world.
My special interest is in the field of protection of the girl child .Because in
our society a girl child has always been neglected (in special reference to girl
child in India). Therefore she is always deprived of her basic human rights .And
she is also exploited by the member of the society .Most of the times a sons
education is preferred than a daughters. The same goes as far as nourishment is
also concerned. Even if she is educated and well established she is often
subjected to sexual harassment at the work place. I want to protect these
children with the help of child rights Act, Juvenile justice Act 2005, Child Labour
Prohibition and Regulation Act 1986, Factories Act 1948 and Child Marriage
Restraint Act 1929 etc.
