Bienvenidos a la clase de Espan ol! Welcome to Spanish class and back to school for another wonderful year! I hope
you had an amazing summer vacation and are ready for your child to continue learning an exciting language!

I believe working together provides for the most meaningful outcomes possible. As partners in your childs
education, we can facilitate success and encourage best effort. It is my goal to engage your child not just through
paper and pencil efforts, but through visual, audible and tactile activities. Each new year brings new challenges. I
believe that with your help, encouragement, and open communication, we will provide for a most successful school
year.

Learning another language can be both exciting and demanding. I encourage you to show your child that you are
interested in what he/she is learning. Whether you understand Spanish or not, asking your child questions about
class and asking him/her to teach you new vocabulary words can promote achievement.

Throughout the year, if you have any questions about your childs progress, the curriculum, what is expected of
your child or any other concerns or compliments () I would love to hear from you! Please feel free to contact me
here at Smithsburg High School. The easiest way to contact me is through the above email address. You can also call
the school and leave a message. I always make parent communication a priority!

Please keep your eyes and ears open for class information. Your child will be asked to show you our Classroom
Rules and Policies and discuss them with you. Now is the perfect time for your child to embrace a world language
and I am here to bring enthusiasm and my love of Spanish to assist in the learning process!
