Heroes & Villains (Anne Frank) 7&8 Spring One 6 weeks

Overview of Unit: Students will use The Diary of Anne Frank as a basis for exploring diary writing and writing to argue,
persuade, advise. The unit will explore the idea of a hero & villain, what it means in modern life and students will get an
opportunity to explore who their Hero is. Students will explore traditional stories about Heroes & Villains from a range of
cultures: Beowulf / Tir Na Nog. Students will also familiarize themselves with non-fiction writing.
