Duties and Responsibilities


Performs maintenance, overhaul and repair of HVAC systems,
Equipment and controls utilizing tools, materials and equipment
to accomplish assigned repair, maintenance, modifications,
installation or troubleshooting.
Assigns required job to subordinates. Ensures that the repair and
Maintenance of HVAC & Refrigeration equipment is being
performed efficiently. Reviews operational schedule and
assignment and ensure the maximum level of productivity.
Performs routine preventive maintenance throughout the
Hospital Complexes and directs other workmen in this task
assuring that work is performed in a safe and accurate manner.
Provides required recommendations regarding major overhaul or
upgrading of related systems.
Performs repair, troubleshooting, inspection and testing of
compressors, water chillers, coolers, freezers, ice machines,
heating and cooling coils, humidifiers, associated controls, etc.; as
required.
Performs site survey on new construction/renovation and review
its blueprints and HVAC Designs and Applications. Evaluates the
minimum/maximum requirements for all materials related to
task.
Guides lower graded personnel.
Position may require rotation on various shifts to maintain 24-
hours coverage.
Follow all prescribed Hospital and Departmental safety and other

Participates in self and others education, training and

Duties and Responsibilities
Directs operational and technical supervision of the Mechanical
section of the Maintenance Department.
Oversees heating, ventilating, and air-cooling systems such as
commercial package-type air-conditioners, wall mounted split-
type air-conditioners, free-standing air-conditioners, cassette-
type air-conditioners, window-type air-conditioners,
air-handling units, fan coil units, return/supply fans, exhaust fans,

Evaluates vendors quotation to verify conformance to P.O.
specifications and provide inputs to purchasing department to be

Was given special assignment as one of the project engineers for
the introduction and set-up of 14L/16L SSOP products in Mold
Station in less than six months on February 1994.
Tasked to performed qualification runs on TSSOP 20L and 24L in
Mold Station with a consistent average Yield of 99.90 %.
Have Effectively Procured and Certified twenty four(24) Mold sets
(i.e. PDIP, SOIC, SSOP and QFP), two(2) Mold Press, twenty
five(25) mold accessories in less than eighteen(18) months from
January 1993 to June 1994. This was achieved through great hard
work, teamwork and dedication.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Create a comparison of various equipment available in the market
and identifies those that are suitable and conforms to the
companys requirements. Performs comparative study to be able
to get a concrete basis of equipment selection.
Generate P.O. specification for new equipment requirements as
well as for modifications, reworks or refurbishments of existing
equipment. Ensures that the vendor have a clear understanding of
the specified details of the purchase.
Evaluates vendors quotation to verify conformance to P.O.
specifications and provide inputs to purchasing department to be
the basis of negotiation and vendor selection.
Review of vendors work drawings and design concept specifically
of mold equipment and its accessories. Technical details are being
reviewed thoroughly to ensure conformance to P.O.
specifications.
Performs buy-off mold equipment at vendors site to certify
conformance to requirements before delivery.
Set-up, buy-off and qualifies newly acquired equipment as well as
modifies, reworked or refurbished with the presence of vendor
representative and concerned departments of the plant.
Conducts equipment trainings for technicians and operators on
basic operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and
process parameter adjustments for new equipment.
Identifies equipment reliability problems. Assist in equipment
designs and modifications to improve line performance as well as
equipment reliability, specifically on mold equipment, pad
marking machines, DTFS machines and strip plating machines.
Troubleshoot equipment failures with a high degree of technical
competence and develops in-depth knowledge of back-end
equipments.
Work with Industrial Engineering to establish equipment
requirements for capacity increase and for tool-up of new
products.
Constantly communicate with vendors and the companys
concerned departments to monitor progress of equipment
procurement and periodically update management of current
status.
Provides full support for all new product qualification runs.
Provides necessary technical support to Design and Materials
Section to be able to evaluate and therefore, qualify direct and
indirect materials.
