Purpose Of This Assignment

The aim of this project is to enable actors to develop their acting skills through the
exploration of different acting techniques, including preparation and reflection.
Scenario
T.T.A London, a brand new actors agency, has recently advertised that they are looking
for actors to take onto their books. They are specifically looking for actors with strong
work ethics to put forward for professional, actor led projects. They have contacted the
Miskin Theatre and asked to see our most experienced actors. You will be presenting two
contrasting monologues and a character song to a panel of agents on 16 th October.
Remember, they want actors that are self-sufficient, autonomous and self-motivated.
Your performance on the day will be secondary to your day to day performance both on
and off the rehearsal floor. Good luck!
Task 1: (LO1: 1.1, 1.2)
You are required to be able to prepare as an actor. You will be assessed on the evidence
you provide for the following tasks.

Plan, lead and contribute to company warm ups and workshops that enable you to
prepare physically, mentally and vocally for rehearsals and performances. (1.1)
Demonstrate professional behaviour during the participation of actors warm ups,
rehearsals and performances. (1.2)
