1 Completing your Onboarding Paperwork

The onboarding paperwork are documents that formalize your employment with
SYKES Home powered by Alpine Access. These documents include client,
province, and company paperwork and you will need to fill out and digitally sign.

All prospective employees whether they are moving to a new program as new
hires or internal transfers from a different program or are coming back after
leaving the company, are required to fill out their paperwork. All paperwork
need to be updated within the past 30 days so if you have not been processed
for a job in the past 30 days, you will be required to complete a new set of
paperwork.

All your paperwork will be housed on our secure server with Docusign. You will be
able to access Docusign (your forms) from your home page at
www.workatsykes.ca

Steps to follow:

1 Access your forms by scrolling down your home page until you find
the task called, Complete your online paperwork.

Steps to follow:
Read through each of the steps on the paperwork task, then click on the
2 blue button that says,

You will now be redirected to our partner platform, called Docusign. This
site is where we house all of your documents and signed forms.

Please make sure you have


cleared all browsing history
from your web page
before beginning.

Also, if you have google


chrome installed on your
computer, you may want
to open your paperwork on
that browser.

If you do not have chrome,


you will want to make sure
your compatibility settings
allow this site.

You will now see an agreement that you need to select to continue,

After you have selected I agree to use Docusign Electronic Records


and Signatures. Select the yellow Continue button to begin.

Steps to follow:
You will now see the beginning of your forms to sign. In the right-hand
3 corner you will see a forms logo, click this to see all of the forms you will be
signing.

Otherwise, click on the Yellow button that says

Youll notice that some of your personal information has been pre-
populated for you. This is because Docusign has pulled your information
from your application at Swww.workatsykes.ca in order to help speed up
the process for you.

It is imperative that you review ALL information in case anything has


changed.

Please continue to follow the instructions on the yellow navigation tab as


you make your way through the forms.

Steps to follow:
When you are requested to sign a document for the first time, you will be
4 asked to create your signature.

You will be able to use a pre-populated font or draw your own signature.
Please click Adopt and Sign when you are satisfied with your signature.

Steps to follow:
Make your way through the remainder of your forms. Please do not skip
5 any information that is requested of you. Also, while Docusign does scroll
through your forms quickly, please remember to scroll back up and read
through each form carefully before signing.

Once you have signed and filled out each form as necessary, you will see
on the bottom of your screen a notice that states you are completed.

Choose finish to save and be redirected back to your home page at


www.workatsykes.ca.

Your paperwork task will now be automatically updated to reflect that you
have completed that task.

**IF you are unable to finish your forms for any reason, please select other
actions from the top of your screen and choose Finish Later. If you
close out of Docusign without saving, you may lose all of your previously
signed forms**

2 Completing your Background Check Requirements

All candidates vying for a position are required to undergo background


checking. Depending on the client that you are going to be working for, there
will be different required checks. The most common checks are the following:

1. Criminal Record Check


2. Employment Verification Check

Initiating your background check is free of charge. Please note however that this
process can take anywhere from 5 business days to a few weeks to complete
depending on how long the information needs to be verified. It is always best to
complete this process as soon as possible.

Being hired for the position is contingent on completing and passing the
background check requirement. All background check results are reviewed and
submitted for approval. Please make sure that you are able to follow through
with the process, otherwise, we will need to rescind your offer of employment.

Steps to follow:

1 Open the e-mail that is associated with your current SYKES Home
application. Check your inbox or junk / spam mail folder for an e-
mail with the following subject line:

SYKES Home powered by Alpine Access has requested that you


complete an online application via eConsent

The e-mail is sent by onlineorders@backcheck.net

BackCheck, our background checking partner, has sent out this


request for you to complete an online eConsent form. This form will
allow BackCheck to run a complete check on your information.

Open this e-mail.

2 Click on the link within the e-mail to continue into BackChecks


eConsent welcome page.

You will see the BackCheck welcome page. Click on the Start button

Steps to follow:

4 The systems core navigation bar shows you the items that you will
need to complete. You MUST fill out all the fields in all the tabs in order
for your eConsent form to the accomplished successfully.

Provide your complete name. Please make sure you provide your
5 LEGAL name. Using names that will not be verified as YOU will cause
significant issues with your background check that will either delay
being processed for the job or ultimately lead to your current
application to be rescinded.

If you have changed your name in the past or recently, please make
sure to declare them as your Aliases.

Provide all pertinent addresses that you have lived in.

Click on Save and Continue to proceed.

Steps to follow:

6 Provide your personal details for your Canadian Criminal Record


Check.

Make sure that you are able to declare ALL criminal information that
you know about yourself that you have been convicted on. Please
remember that all background check information are reviewed and
approved by our clients declaring your previous convictions DOES
NOT AUTOMATICALLY EXCLUDE YOU from the selection process.

Steps to follow:

6 Declare all your previous criminal offenses. Provide the details of


these offenses in the field provided.

If you have more than one, you can use the ADD ADDITIONAL
CONVICTION DETAILS option and a new set of forms will appear for
your to complete.

Please remember that your criminal information MUST come back to


us as COMPLETE and ACCURATE for them to be reviewed. During
instances that an INACCURATE representation of previous criminal
offenses have been seen on your record, you will be required to
resubmit your conviction details. It would be best to coordinate with
the RCMP at that time to ensure that you have the full and accurate
information that you will need to re-declare.

Steps to follow:

7 Declare your previous employment information. We require the


verification of 2 employers outside of SYKES Home powered by Alpine
Access.

If you have any supporting documents for your employment record,


please feel free to upload them as a part of your Employee
Verification Information.

Click on the choose file option and then click on Add Attachment for
it to be loaded into the system.

If you want to declare more than 2 employers, you can click on the
Add Additional Employer option. Please remember as well to ALLOW
BackCheck to contact your previous employers. Otherwise, the
verification will not be done.

Steps to follow:

8 Complete the Public Safety Verification by providing your Country of


Birth and all pertinent information and your Date of Birth.

9 To complete the background check you will then need to sign the e-
Consent and submit the form. At the bottom of the agreement to
disclose and consent, you will see a tool that will allow you to write
your own signature. You can retry creating your signature as many
times as you like.

Hit the Submit Button to declare and consent.

Steps to follow:

To cap off your Background Check Initiation Process, you will need to
10 start the facilitation of your Identity Verification. There are 2 ways that
BackCheck can verify your identity. The first is through the Electronic
Identification Verification and the other is through the Canada Post.

The Electronic Identification Verification is an online process that


allows you to answer a series of inquiries related to your personal
consumer credit information in TransUnion that only YOU should be
able to answer. Your credit score will not be affected by the
verification.

Click on the Consent checkbox and then on the Verify my Identity to


start the authentication.

If you lack a significant credit history, do not have a credit file, or are
unable to authenticate your identity online for any other reason, you
will be asked to verify your identity through the Canada Post.

2 Completing your Background Check Requirements

Steps to follow:

In the event that you are not able to complete your complete your
11 authentication online, you will need to proceed to the nearest
Canada Post and go through the Canada Post Physical identification
Verification Process. This requires you to PHYSICALLY verify your
identity with the nearest Canada Post Office in your area. You will
need to bring with you two (2) valid IDs and the printed form. You
must complete this process within 48 hours of completing the
eConsent.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1. Please remember that you MUST be able to complete ALL your
Pre-employment requirements within your deadlines. If you are not
able to do so, you are running the risk of having your application
be rescinded.

2. For those that will need to go to the Canada Post for the Physical
Identification Verification process, please remember that you will
be required to submit IDs that are NOT expired. Receipts showing
requests to acquire the IDs or documents that are outside of the
list of Valid IDs will not be acceptable.

3. If you are applying for work through a Canadian Working Permit,


please upload a clear digital copy of your permit into your
applicant support page.

4. When uploading documents, please upload clear digital images


of your items. Please make sure you scan or take a photo of the
document from corner to corner and is legible when viewed.

5. Your Preemployment coordinators may reach out to your via

6. All calls coming from SYKES Home powered by Alpine Access are
routed. This means that our calls may call in as unlisted,
unregistered, or blocked numbers. Please make sure that you
answer your phone in the succeeding days as that may well be us.
Please also disable temporarily any blocks or setups that may
prevent us from reaching your by phone. If that is not an option,
please make sure that you CONSTANTLY check your support
messages as we will be reaching out to you from there.

7. You must be able to gather all your required home office


requirements at least 1 week before your training start date. You
do not have until Day 1 of training to submit your items.

8. There is no reservation of training slots. All candidates must enroll


themselves into their preferred. These slots are filled on a FIRST
COME FIRST SERVED basis. The earlier you complete your
requirements, the earlier we can push you into the system for
enrollment. Please do not wait for the last minute to enroll
