8/7/2017 Survey Conducted on LGBTs in the Philippines: Results and Analysis | The Rainbow Project Philippines

The group conducted a survey online on LGBTs in the Philippines. Approximately, 63 people responded
with corresponding answers. Among the respondents were blockmates, friends, family, etc. Their identi-
ties were kept anonymous for privacy reasons.

To add, the questions asked in the short video was the same. The survey was used for analysis because
through the said medium, respondents were able to explain their stance further. It is also inferred that
those who answered had comparably more honest feedback, due to the fact that their identities were
kept anonymous and they did not have to face the fear of being judged.

Moving on, to follow are the summarized answers from the survey, preceded by the questions.

with the term LGBT. They said that it was their rst time to hear LGBT and only learned about it
through the survey. Yet 6.3 percent answered TV personalities and movies related to LGBT. Lastly, 4.7
percent of the respondents described LGBT as immoral and against God.

The highest percentage consists of those who know what LGBT stands for and also those who think of
LGBT as a mist in the society. Meanwhile, the lowest percentage of the respondents thinks that LGBT or
