ANDREW'S
RADICAL WELCOME
Radical Welcome, by the Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers, offers a path for
moving beyond diversity and inclusion toward realizing a vision for the
church of the future, one where the transforming gifts, voices and power of
marginalized cultures and groups bring new life to the church. Canon
Spellers leads evangelism, reconciliation and stewardship of creation efforts
on the the Presiding Bishops staff. She will be the keynote speaker for our
I
diocesan convention in Des Moines in October. Join Lizzie Gillman and Steve
Godfrey for a 4-part series exploring the theology and practicalities of
Radical Welcome, Wednesdays, October 4, November 1 & 8, 6:30-7:30 pm,
and Sunday, October 15, 11:30Y am -12:30 pm. All ages welcome! Books will be
available free of charge. Please let Steve know if you need one.

TOOLS FOR THE JOURNEY


Tools for the Journey are ways to connect with the Spirit through prayer,
understanding of our beliefs, and journalingthey are ways we rekindle and
renew our relationship with God. Join us at the home of Janet and Georgia
onWednesdays, September 13, October 11, November 15, and December 6,
Each class will begin at 6:00 pm with a light meal.

SOUP + SPIRITUAL PRACTICE


Soup + Spiritual Practice is a chance to gather for a simple meal, fellowship, and
participation in a prayer practice or reflection. Each gathering will introduce
participants to a different prayer practice and then the group will engage in the
practice together. Connect with others, learn about spiritual practice, and
center yourself in the midst of the week. Whether you are a beginner exploring
prayer and faith, or you have been engaged in spiritual practices for many years,
join us!Soup + Spiritual Practice meets at the home of Eric and Hannah from
6:30 - 8:00 pm on Wednesdays, September 20, October 18, and November 22.
