ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Additive Manufacturing is the technology that builds 3D objects by adding
layer-upon-layer of material, be it plastic, metal, concrete. What is common
to it is the use of computers, 3D modelling software, such as Computer Aided
Design (CAD), machine equipment and layering material. At 3E-PD, we are a
team of expert designers who hold finesse to draw a CAD sketch, once it is
produced, the additive manufacturing equipment reads in data from the CAD
file and lays downs or adds successive layers of liquid, powder, sheet material,
etc. This is done to effectively at 3E-PD wherein a layer-upon-layer is placed in
fashion to fabricate a 3D object.

The term additive manufacturing encompasses many technologies,
comprising subsets like 3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping (RP), Direct Digital
Manufacturing (DDM), layered manufacturing and additive fabrication. Of
late, additive manufacturing have been brought to use in order to fabricate
end-use products in aircraft, dental restorations, medical implants,
automobiles, and even fashion products. The skilled team of 3E-PD aims at
rapid delivery and ensures huge savings for you. Herein, we perform additive
and subtractive manufacturing together on a single platform with one
supplier. This results in saving of time and streamlines communication
thereby optimising your build. Also, we combine 3D metal printing and high-
precision CNC machining, under one roof and offer you a finished product.
With all of our finishing techniques at your disposal, we make complex and
accurate parts ready for immediate use in your most demanding technical
applications.

Functional Principle

The system starts by applying a thin layer of the powder material to the
building platform. A powerful laser beam then fuses the powder at exactly
the points defined by the computer-generated component design data. The
platform is then lowered and another layer of powder is applied. Once again
the material is fused so as to bond with the layer below at the predefined
points. Depending on the material used, components can be manufactured
using stereolithography, laser sintering or 3D printing. EOS Additive
Manufacturing Technology based on laser sintering has been in existence for
over 20 years.

Examples of Additive Manufacturing
(AM)
+ SLA
Very high end technology utilizing laser technology to cure layer-upon-layer of
photopolymer resin (polymer that changes properties when exposed to light).
+ FDM
Process oriented involving use of thermoplastic (polymer that changes to a liquid
upon the application of heat and solidifies to a solid when cooled) materials
injected through indexing nozzles onto a platform.
+ MJM
Multi-Jet Modeling is similar to an inkjet printer in that a head, capable of shuttling
back and forth (3 dimensions-x, y, z)) incorporates hundreds of small jets to apply a
layer of thermopolymer material, layer-by-layer.
+3DP
This involves building a model in a container filled with powder of either starch or
plaster based material. An inkjet printer head shuttles applies a small amount of
binder to form a layer.

PBT, PBT GF, PPS, PTFEand so on. We can work on the most of the
plastic material available in the market. If you request special
material, you can get a confirmation from us by email.
Lead time: Typical projects will take about 1.5 weeks to 3 weeks.

Advantage: Real material with different surface finish available

(Normal technical polish, High gloss & Texture), quality standard close
to mass production. Cost efficient for the quantity 100 up to 10000
pieces.
Disadvantage: Too costly if you only request a few pieces.
