INTRODUCTION

Background of the Study

Nepal is one of the developing countries with a per capital income of US $ 220.Thus, the
dependency rate of the family is also high among the population. Similarly agriculture is still the
mainstay of Nepalese economy. In Nepal, agriculture is still the main source of income. The
census 2001 concluded about 65.7% of the labor force have got the employment from this sector.

It is believed that as the economic growth increase the contribution of agriculture in gross
domestic product goes on increasing & that of non-agriculture sector goes on decreasing. In line
with this view on Nepals economy as well the contribution of agriculture sector is decreasing &
that of the non-agriculture sector is increasing, which shows the increase in non-agriculture
activities.

Brief Introduction of Dairy Development Corporation

DDC is fully government-owned an autonomous institution. It has been operating its activities
related to the production of dairy products since the establishment from western region eastern
region, from terai region to the mountainous region of the country. DDC was established in 2026
B.S. under the Corporation Act 2021. DDC-a fully state owned corporation, initiated for the
economic advancement of the poor farming communities, has flourished into a nationwide
movement with an annual collection over 60 million liters of milk from more than 75 thousand
milk producers through 888 milk cooperatives spread out in 33 district.
Objectives of DDC

Provide a guaranteed market for milk to the rural farmers with fair price.

Supply pasteurized milk and milk products to urban consumers.

Develop organized milk collection system to meet increasing demand for pasteurized
milk and milk products.

Develop an organized marketing system for milk and milk products in urban areas.

Objectives of the Study

An organization is a social unit of people, systematically structured and managed


to meet a need or to pursue collective goals on a continuing basis. . Main objective of this
research are:

To find out the preferred milk among the consumer.

To find out the satisfaction of the consumer.

To provide necessary suggestion for improvement based on findings of the study

Limitations of the Study

The data presented in this report are completely historical.


The study is concentrated on the product & product-line of the government-owned
manufacturing organization.
The outcome results from the relationship are not rigid. It may vary.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This research provides me with an opportunity to explore in the field of Human


Resources. It also provides the feedback of people who are using milk as their daily
product. Apart from that it would provide me to know how important is milk for the
health of people and also provide me a great deal of exposure to interact with peoples.

Research Design

The study is designed in order to find out the prefered milk among the consumer.The study is
concentrated only on the consumption of milk. The study especially deals with the depth analysis
will be descriptive and analytical in order to answer the problem identified. Similarly, it will be
guideline for future researcher.
