PROPOSED REMEDIAL WORKS TO REPAIR ALL AFFECTED AREAS OF

THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CONCRETE SLAB EXPOSING THE RUSTED
REINFORCED CONCRETE BARS OF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR
PARK CONCRETE SLAB AT LEVEL 1 TO LEVEL 2 OF DRIVEWAY
CARPARK ENTRANCE TO THE ROYAL PLAZA CARPARK

The following scope of works as completed for the above proposed

remedial work as carried out between the periods 25 December 2016 to 6 th
January 2017.

(1)SCOPE OF WORKS.

a) Steel scaffold support were erected to ensure the stripping of loosened

concrete and plastering works using electrical hacker equipment will
prevent unwanted loosening of level concrete pieces separating from
the underside of the concrete slab

(b)On completion of the hacking works, the surface of the raw concrete
had been steel brushed clean including de-rusting for the removal of
the loosed rust pattern for the steel reinforcement bars were inspected
and uprooted de-rusted to equitable cleanliness.

(c) Thereafter the surface of the treated concrete area were applied
QUICSEAL 514H with the scope of remedial works to be carried out
with QUICSEAL 514H application all in accordance with the
specification and methodology of application following the
manufacturers recommendation.

(d) The surface of the underside of the completed / treated concrete was
painted accordingly.

(e) The balance of the formwork installation was removed and the
surrounding area was cleaned and the repair works as completed
accordingly.

(2)CONCLUSION
The final inspection as carried out on the 10 th January 2017 indicate the works as
completed was satisfactory and the overall strength of the affected concrete slab is
maintained to support the load imposed as designed and catered for.
