Introduction and Overview

Please note: Some features found in these styles require Band-in-a-Box 2006 or later. The styles will play fine on previous
versions but the instrument change in the b section feature will be unavailable.

Making these requested style sets is a gratifying experience for us because suggestions are made by you, our users of Band-

Those of you who frequent this forum will see from the style names in this set that we are listening to you with style names
like; ALFAVIL2, CURTIS34, ULTRAVX1, CONTRA44, BRENTSW, AWB_1, ENYA44, BIGTONY, CASHLUTH,
ELVISBIG, COLEPLAY, CTRFST16, KRUPA_4S, LUTHER1, POPHHOP, WILLIEH and more.

In this set, weve covered rhythm feels like; Motown funk, even 8ths-80s Synth-Pop, Country swing shuffle, swing 8ths Contra
(Country Folk) dance, soul funk, slow swing16ths Funk Rock, Contra Waltz, slow even 8ths light Rock, fast Country 2-beat,
peaceful 3/4 orchestral, 80s swing 16ths Rock, soft even 16ths Techno, 40s Jazz swing trading fours, even 16ths Hip Hop, and
others.

Most of these styles have at least 5 instruments and most of them use the instrument change in the b section feature. For
this feature, Styles Set 62 requires Band-in-a-Box 2006 or later. The styles will play fine on previous versions but the
instrument change in the b section feature will be unavailable. In most cases the instrument changes are subtle and are used
to brighten up, or slightly change, the b section. For example; a French horn pad at a might change to a Slow strings
pad at b.

Effects like reverb, chorus, and panning are not embedded in a style, so these settings should be set and saved with the tune
from the main song page (Alt+F2). The demo tunes for these styles follow the same naming convention as the styles
themselves. For example, the DEMO song for ALFAVIL2.STY is ALFAVIL2.MGU.

If you would like to check out these new styles and demos right away, heres an easy way: open any style in the bb:\Styles62
folder, then use the Jukebox to audition the demos and styles. (Tip: uncheck Change Melody Instrument.) Heres another
way to check out the styles; press the [Style] button to get to the Select Style window. In the Only show styles disk #
drop-down list select #62 Requested 6, then highlight the individual styles and press the [Load Song Demo] button. Its a
good idea to uncheck Auto Change Melody/Soloist Patch so that youll hear the correct demo melody instrument. You will
also find these styles listed under the different general musical category names like Jazz or Pop/Rock. More detailed
information about each style is available by pressing the [Memo] button of the demo tune.
