celebrated 60 years in business.

We remain an integral part of the industry, as its dedicated and trusted partner
for communications and IT. SITA today uses only the shortened version of its
name as over the years the companys scope has increasingly embraced IT
applications and desktop solutions.

In 2003 SITA INC was created as a commercial company with its own
management team. At the same time SITA SC (the telecommunications
cooperative) continued as a separate entity to provide communications services
on a not-for-profit cooperative basis.

In 2006 SITA consolidated into a single organization to focus on providing

global integrated communications and IT services to the transportation
industry. Our strength in delivering these solutions is demonstrated by:

Global network in over 220 countries

1.4. AIRCOM FlightPlanner Host

The AIRCOM FlightPlanner host is home to the SITA OnAir flight planning engine and provides a core
set of data management functions and core capabilities that are central to the flight planning process.
Hosted in SITAs London Data Center, it provides a centralized access point to all of the core flight
planning data services.

These are described below:

1.4.1. Aircraft Performance

Aircraft Performance data is managed by a dedicated team of SITA OnAir specialists, who manage the
core aircraft performance data in conjunction with the OEMs and aircraft operator staff. The Aircraft
Performance module stores:

Performance data by aircraft type and individual tail number/registration

Page 9 Tehran Airline Flight Planning System

SITA - Delivering an integrated Flight Planning solution to Tehran Airlines

Respective cruise, climb and descent data

The module is fully compatible with electronic sources provided by Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR
etc. Aircraft attribute files store details on your individual aircraft including weight variations and
climb and descent schedules. You have the option to customize the data held by:

Adding your airline specific operating policies

Including details of your fuel policy

Providing default values

Refining information for certain sectors and airports

Adding additional information on holding fuel, reserves, re-clear reserves, taxi and manoeuvring
and ETOPS

Fuel tankering

ETOPS

Reclear

Fuel costs can be further optimized using the Tankering module. Variations in fuel prices around the
globe mean that airlines often carry extra fuel to minimize uplift at fuel expensive airports. This is not
always cost-effective as the extra weight may mean that extra fuel is burnt potentially eroding potential
savings.

The tankering module dynamically assesses key factors to provide you with the true costs of carrying
tanker fuel and can provide this information with a profit and loss summary on the relevant flight plan.
You can set tankering calculations to be run automatically with each flight plan run, automating a
normally manual task.

1.4.2. Navigation

Global navigation data is maintained by a team of navigation specialists, using data direct from state
aeronautical information publications, NOTAM and other related sources. Customers have online access
to manage company routes and view core navigation data. The navigation module features:

A look-ahead feature to allow assessment of AIRAC changes against company routes

Full management functions of company routes

Restrictions data containing height and time-based restrictions

The real time dynamic route calculation provides you with the facility to:

Real-Time, Random Route Generation (RRG)

The Random Route Generator facility is a powerful, adhoc flight plan

generator used in circumstances where pre-stored routes do not exist for a
given city pair. Use of the RRG forces consideration of published flight levels
and time restrictions (i.e. NOTAM, AIP, CDR, CRAM and RAD) and thus
calculates an optimum compliant routing using current or statistical weather.

ETOPS Calculation

The Flight Planning application includes and advanced ETOPS calculation

facility. Hybrid ETOPS formats are available with separate rules for different
ETOPS alternates.

OverFlight Charge Calculation (OFC)

The OFC database will cost individual plans for their en-route charges, and
deliver a monthly summary of all flights operated, which can be cross-checked
against en-route charges bills.

Flight Plan and Wind Uplinking

Integration with AIRCOM Server for better flight plan uplinking functionality
to the Cockpit Printer and/or direct to the FMC/FMS is now available using
the FPP- &/or FPN- keywords. Graflite deployed with AIRCOM Server
provides the same level of functionality in terms of delivery capability but with
reduced communications charges.

In addition, a new service element has been introduced to provide uplinking

of winds aloft data to FMS devices. This facility extrapolates data for 4 cruise
levels, plus climb and descent and extrapolates the data to FMS format. The
data is compatible with many major makes of FMS equipment.

Re-AnalysisFlight Planning

Re-Analysis allows recalculation of a flight plan from any point on the planned
route and allows for situations such as unexpected surface weather at
detination/alternates, diversion and airspace closures, etc.

Page 20 Tehran Airline Flight Planning System

SITA - Delivering an integrated Flight Planning solution to Tehran Airlines

Carbon Emissions and ETS

If required, an optional CO2 emissions statement may be added to the flight

plan. In addition, SITA is already working on a project to include cost of
emissions trading into the optimization calculation of SITA flight plans.

System Enhancements in the Development Pipeline

SITAs Flight Planning engine has, since its inception been based on an IBM
mainframe which has progressively over the years slowed the pace of
development due to the difficulty and expense of programming on such a
platform. In order to provide a more dynamic development environment
therefore, SITA embarked on a $4 million investment to migrate the application
to an open, Sun UNIX environment which will significantly enhance the pace
and scope of software developments for years ahead. This migration was
completed in 2010 and all our SITA Flight Briefing Services customers are now
provided with the service based on the new platform.

Having migrated the application to the new open-systems platform, SITA will
now embark on a significant program of enhancement and new functionality
developments:

SIDs and STARs to individual runways will be included in the

calculation,

The program will take into consideration the runway in use,

There will be improvements in how the program handles

restrictions and route availability:-

Restrictions will be ingested via eRAD

Improved route validation against ATC restrictions will

incorporate back-end validation prior to release and customer
visibility of the ATC validation

The Real-Time Random Route (RRG) algorithm will consider

least-cost criteria

A full driftdown calculation will be provided and will include

provision of escape routes,

Page 21 Tehran Airline Flight Planning System

SITA - Delivering an integrated Flight Planning solution to Tehran Airlines

Auto consideration of MEL/CDL: Back-end processing

development to automatically apply relevant degradation
according to certain MEL/CDL codes.

Auto recommendation of alternates

ETA based flight planning: Additional (optional) cost element in

the least-cost optimization of flight plans will consider the cost of
a delay in the optimization calculation.

This development program has already begun the work will continue
throughout 2012 with the priority items scheduled for completion in the next 12
months.

Flight Briefing Online - Accessible briefing packs

Flight Briefing Online (FBOL) provides you with a convenient and customizable
internet-based distribution system for your flight planning and information

SITA Surface Weather Service

SITAs Surface Weather Service compliments the Flight Planning Service. The
SITA Surface Weather service sources its data from Kansas (US-FAA), Exeter
(UK-CAA), South Africa and Australia and the text-based output of the service
includes SA, FT, FC and WS (Sigmet).

These can all be appended to the flight plan and with multiple sources we can
ensure full global coverage. In addition Surface Weather can be accessed
through the GraFlite application, making accessing weather data very simple
and giving the option to add weather information into a pilot brief, which, can
subsequently be accessed by the operating crew from a suitable PC terminal
accessing GraFlite.

Page 23 Tehran Airline Flight Planning System

SITA - Delivering an integrated Flight Planning solution to Tehran Airlines

As well as providing on-demand access, the Surface Weather service can be

used to provide timed bulletins, or generate weather alerts to user-defined
minima. In this way operations and dispatch staff can be notified of any
operational changes to weather automatically. This is particularly useful for
ETOPS planning and through the use of Weather Watch, which is part of SITAs
Operations Control system, weather alerts can be linked to the airlines
schedule. Surface Weather data may also be delivered to the cockpit via
ACARS.

SITA NOTAM Service

The SITA NOTAM service features a unique range of filters allowing users to
ignore (and therefore not be charged for) NOTAM information that does not
apply to their operation.

NOTAM information may be accessed on-demand or via timed bulletins. In

addition NOTAM information may be requested as a route specific NOTAM
brief attached to the flight plan and it is also possible to request and view
NOTAM information through GraFlite.
