JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Employment and Training Coordinator will report directly to the Adult Education Director. This person is responsible
for assisting SNAP recipients referred by the Department of Human Services. This position is grant funded. Continued
funding for this position is determined by the availability of state funding and performance.
1. Interview, assess, and assist clients with educational assistance, job search, and placement assistance
2. Assist clients with creating an education and employability plan
3. Coordinate with DHS to establish and maintain the E&T program
4. Serve as the liaison between Adult Education and DHS
5. Maintain positive working relationships with clients, other agencies, and co-workers
6. Maintain client confidentiality
7. Coordinate and conduct workshops on job readiness such as interview skills, resume preparation, application
completion, dress for success and other soft skills workshops
8. Explain program rules and procedures to clients, either individually or as a group
9. Receive and track referrals of SNAP recipients to the Employment and Training (E&T) program to ensure
compliance of mandatory participants
10. Monitor and generate reports documenting client participation hours, involvement, training, and job placement on
a monthly basis
11. Assume lead responsibility for the completion of data entry of client participation into the required database
12. Participate in training and meetings as required
13. Assist in classroom as needed
14. Cross train in all programs to be familiar with requirements and to be able to help students reach their goals
15. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associates Degree.
2. Obtain Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certification within one year of hire date.
3. One to two years of experience working with clients to help them reach their educational and/or employment
goals.
4. Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with a brad diverse population.

1. Bachelors Degree
2. Career Development Facilitator (CDF) certification
SALARY: $33,500 (This position is grant funded and contingent upon grant renewal.)
