(1) Does the MS from abroad account to get faculty position in
Pakistan? Quickly, I would say Yes If you obtained your Master degree from top-tier QS ranked university. Else, it does not matter whether you obtained your master from Top ranked Pakistan University or from low ranked university in abroad. All that matters is Your GPA, Publications (Both Conference and Journal Papers), and Experience (If any). There are few points of having abroad education during the selection process but a candidate with good GPA and research profile can compensate those few points of abroad qualification. (2) I would suggest all BS, MS, and PhD candidates who are studying in Pakistani universities that please prepare your self for Erasmus Mundus Exchange Program. Last date of application would be around november and december. With this exchange program, you can spent 6 months to 12 months abroad for your thesis research and courses (if host and home university offered courses could match). This abroad experience will give you bonus point in your next job/study application and will also boost your personality with a lot of diverse multicultural exposure. (3) Please Start working on writing good quality conference and Journal papers if you would like to avail MS and PhD scholarships abroad. Now a days, Publications matter a lot during the sifting of application. (4) Work hard in your academia and try to get good GPA because GPA always matter during the initial scrutiny in top ranked university. Better is aim for achieving greater than 3.5 GPA if you want to go in top QS ranked university. (5) If your GPA is in the range of 3.00 to 3.50 then you can compete the students (who have > 3.50 gpa) by having at least 1 good quality IEEE conference paper provided that those students have no publication. (6) If your gpa is less than 3.00, then you would need to work hard to come in competition. All you can do is try to have at least one good impact factor journal paper and conference paper. Besides this, you can prove your self with your experience (internships and jobs) and portfolio of projects (good if you made video of those projects) (7) Don't be stressed with your current situation of unemployment. We can only work hard and don't expect quick response of your effort. There are trillion opportunities in this world so please involve yourself in the social network and find those opportunities. (8) There is nothing impossible in this world if you have compassion and sincerity to achieve it. I am challenging here just try it. If due to some reason you didn't get your desired position, then you will always have a better option. Latter you will also understand Yes i was not made for that position. (9) Don't blame yourself with your past mishaps because past is gone. Work on your present and make your future brighter. Otherwise your past will puzzle you and will not let you to work hard in present. Then ultimately your future will be in trouble. Best, Adnan
