ever cure cancer?. One reason why I would dedicate myself to this question is because Ive had
many people in my life die to cancer, so I would like to understand it better and possibly find a
cure to help cancer patients. I always hated that nothing could be done to treat cancer. Another
reason why is because I would like to work in the medical field and help people with these
conditions. I would also like to study this question because genetics are truly fascinating. It
would also be interesting to see if we could possibly ever win against cancer and how it evolves
to survive.
In order to answer this question, i would need a good educational background with a BS
and multiple PHDs in the field of medical science, biology, and chemistry. An Oncology &
Cancer Biology major would aid in conducting research related to my question. The program
dives into the characteristics of cancer cells, genetics of cancer, and treatments. A person with
this degree could contribute their general knowledge of cancer and aid in the necessary
background for the research. Duke university offers this program in the degree level PHD. A
Cell/Cellular Biology and Anatomical Sciences major would also help in answering my question.
The program focuses on cells and parts of the cell in depth, as well as cellular processes and how
the cell works as a part of a larger system. A person with this degree could contribute their
knowledge of cells to compare them to a cancer cell to see what makes them different. Duke
University offers this PHD degree. Another major that could help in answering my question
would be a Medical Microbiology and Immunology degree. The program is designed to learn
and develop new ways to prevent and treat diseases with the use of technology to study genes
and proteins. A person with this degree could contribute their knowledge of technology to
identify any specific genes and possibly find out a treatment based on that. In particular study the
genetics of cancer. UC davis offers this program in the degree level PHD.
There are many cancer studies currently being done that help to answer my question. One
Study is being done to find out any possible genetic causes of cancer. They would look at the
genes of people with cancer to figure out more high and low penetrance genes or genes that
increase the risk of developing cancer. Another study being done is identifying genes required
for immunotherapy to work on cancer cells. Immunotherapy is the usage of T Cells to kill tumor
cells, however some cells have gained resistance and this study would help figure out more
question,Will we ever cure cancer?. One reason why is because it would take a long time to
answer it since it is a pretty broad topic. There are many different types of cancer like lung
cancer or breast cancer. It gets pretty complex when you deal with genetics. Something that is
more possible would be answering a question within the realm of cancer that is more specific.
There is no telling when a question this broad will ever be answered. Also, becoming a cancer
researcher would take a long time to establish as a career. A cancer researcher would need a lot
of educational requirements like a bachelors degree as well as several P.H.Ds in the related
fields. That means you would have to stay in school for a long time. In the long term, all the
courses and time i took in order to become a cancer researcher would not pay off because youre
