COUNTABLE/UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS
Countable nouns: Can be counted and have both a singular and a plural
form.
UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS:
SUSTANTIVOS NO CONTABLES
-We dont use a / an or numbers before uncountable nouns but ...we often
use SOME and ANY.
A: Is there any milk?
SOME / ANY / NO
Examples:
There are some mushrooms in the salad, but there aren`t any carrots
Examples:
Is there any milk in the refrigerator? There isn't any milk in the refrigerator
Are there any apples in the refrigerator? There arent any apples in the
refrigerator.
Examples:
We use HOW MUCH.? .with uncountable nouns to ask about the quantity
of something.
We use HOW MANY? With plural countable nouns to ask about the
number of something.
We use A LOT OF... / LOTS OF.... with uncountable and plural countable
nouns, usually in affirmative sentences.
