Weaknesses
Our narrative deals with a real-life event such as losing a loved one,
we need to remember that some of the audience may be sensitive to
this event as they may have experienced this.
Oh Sister contains more than one actor, this means it may be
difficult to organise days to film where everyone is available.
We will be filming during winter this means it will become dark
quicker in the evenings and some of our scenes take place outside.
Each group member needs to have good time management in order to
execute our production to a high standard. At times this will be
difficult when we have other subject work to tend to.
Opportunities
We have been provided with use of the wide
range of equipment at school which is
convenient for us all and beneficial financially.
Our group members are in contact with A level
drama students this means that it is likely for us
to find an actor if one of our actors can no
longer take part.
We have access to quality editing software on
Apple Macs called Final Cut Pro X this software
allows us to be creative in the editing process.
The media teacher and technician have years of
experience in relation to filming an editing this
is beneficial as they can provide good
support/advice if needed.
Treats
Our actors are all A level students and therefore are busy with other
subjects. This is a threat because we have a tight time scale to finish
our production and will need them present every time we film.
The equipment needed will be used by other students in the class this
means that it may not be available when we need it. In order to
overcome this, we need to book all equipment in advance.
Due to some scenes being filmed outside this means that we may have
to stop some scenes from being filmed as the weather could prevent
our actors from acting to the best of their ability.
