The pangea supercontinent fractures into modern drifting continents.

An explosion of calcareaous
nanoplankton and foramninfera in warm seas create massive chalk deposite. A surge in undersea
volcanic activity and spreading ridge formastion enhances super green house condition in middle
late creataceaous. Angeosperm plants bloom on the dinosaur dominated land during the late
cretaceaous. The cretaceaous dramatically ends with an asteroids impact.

Jurassic creataceaous boundary and berriasian stage

The base of the Cretaceaous Period currently lacks over a dozen international conferences and
working groups dedicated to the issue science 1974

The Berriasian was proposed for limestone near the village of Berrias (Ardche province,
southeast France; Coquand 1871; reviewed in Rawson, 1983 ). Originally concevied as a subdevision
of the Valanginian, it was subsquently often refered to as Infra-Valangnian until the name
Berriasian was eventually brought back into use. The preceding Tithonian Stage of latws Jurrasic was
defined by Oppel (1865) to include all deposites in the Mediterranean area which lie between a
restricted Kimmerdigian and Valanginian, but no representative section was destgnetd

The "Berriasian" diusulkan untuk batu kapur di dekat desa Berrias (provinsi Ardche, Prancis tenggara;
