(Used in solving the Trigonometric Equations)

1. sin = 0 = n (n z) 2. tan = 0 = n (n z)

3. cos = 0 = 2n 1 n z 4. sin = sin = n + (1)n (n z)
2
5. cos = cos = 2n (n z) 6. tan = tan = n + (n z)
(Points to Remember n Z, for solving the trigonometric equations)
Squaring should be avoided as far as possible. If squaring is done, check for the extraneous
roots.
Never cancel terms containing unkown on two sides which are in product. It may cause root
loss.
The answer should not contain such value which make any of the terms undefined or infinite.
Domain should not change. If it charges, necessary corrections must be made.
Check that denominator is not zero at any stage while solving equations.
