First personal series-Baby series

Title: #1 Baby food storage container

Hiding Baby- stuck in container
Material: Porcelain with paper, high-fired glaze, glaze pencils
Size: 6612.5
Date: 2016
The First baby food storage container is called hiding baby-stuck in container.
Normally, regular baby food storage container is made of plastic in the market. Being
got inspiration from that. There is a potential opportunity to give a try to make the
container by ceramics. Wrapping up porcelain paper clay along with a mold to good
enough fit three babies bowls, which is regarded as babys head, body, and legs
individually and drawn out of them by glaze pencil. And shape a baby hair with
certain style instead of usual lid and knob on the top of whole piece. It looks like a
baby stuck in the container and half head with hair keep out of it. As for glaze, the
container is sprayed by cranberry red with high fire.

Title: #2 Baby food storage container

Hiding Baby-upside down
Material: Porcelain with paper, high-fired glaze, glaze pencils
Size: 6610
Date: 2016
The second baby food storage container named Hiding Baby-upside down. Doing
a little bit trick that let the first container upside down and switch button with lid
each other for their position. In other word, while making the second container, the
button become lid and lid become button, instead. Particularly, the button is
certainly shaped very flat in order to be stable when the big lid incorporate with it.
The second container is still able to contain three baby bowls at a time. Before
putting it into kiln, to dip the container in glaze with salt blue.

Title: #3 Baby food storage container

Hiding Baby-keep in the bushes
Material: Porcelain with paper, high-fired glaze, glaze pencils
Size: 5.5511
Date: 2016
The third baby food storage container is Hiding Baby-keep in the bushes. In this
design, doing, moreover, some improvement that cut the container in two that build
three available spaces out of one side, which can be slided three babies bowls and
spontaneously divided into three sections among babys head, body, and legs. To the
anther side, it has a hole that the baby eyes can peer through when turning around
the bowl of babys head toward the hole, and drawn numerous leaves to surround
the peering eyes by glaze pencil. It is interesting-looking piece. For high-fired glaze,
Green apple is good to go to glaze on it.
Rubric
Several Possiblities that I am able to explore is to make babys series by ceramics.
Meanwhile, being able to resolve some issues that baby is difficult to overcome before
growing up. Personally, making babys food storage container by clay to contain every
single tool for convenience and fun. The container is enable to contain spoon, jars and
feeding towel.

Title: Turning Around happen to a dreaming

Material: Porcelain with paper, high-fired glaze, glaze pencils
Size: 5.5511
Date: 2016
By telling a very short story, I am going to explain a verb phrase turning around (
in Chinese). I made four same-sized soup pots and shaped four represented
3D featuring baby figures. And posed on the top of each lid as a pillow for the four
soup pots. Making a connection as if the pillows pattern naturally to attach to 2D
carved images for certain storyboards. The storyboards talk about a baby who is
dreaming about somebody who is feeding the baby a piece of meat by chopsticks, and
then the baby opens his mouth to be ready for getting that pleasure moment. On the
third storyboard, however, because the chopsticks did not hold up the meet tightly,
unexpectedly the meet slide off from the loosen chopsticks. At last, the baby misses
out what he is supposed to get and burst out tears for disappointment. The entire story
reflects that why the 3D babies are fliping around very upset when sleeping on the lids.

Evaluation criteria
Concept, driving idea, function
To redefine turning around. A kid who is dreaming about a tasty piece of meat and
missing it with sadness eventually. Because of it, the whole body of the kid start
turning around with 360 degrees in a statement so as to show disappointment when
being asleep.
