MFC9200C Cassette Spacer installation procedure
September 20, 2001.

Problem: Check Paper Error appears on the display. Machine does not feed when the paper is low in
the cassette.

Solution: Install Spacer P/N LE3934001 underneath the Cassette Pressure Plate. Please follow the
Procedure below. Install this on every MFC9200c that comes in for repair.

1. Turn the cassette upside down and clean the area where the spacer is to be installed to remove any
buildup of dirt or grease. (See Picture below)

Please align 0.5mm


from this edge.

2. Once the area is clean and dry. Affix the spacer by removing the covering from the rear side of the
adhesive tape (located on the back of the spacer).

3. Align the spacer .05mm from the front edge of the cassette pressure plate, 5.25mm from the left edge and
2.05 mm from the right edge. (As shown in the picture below)

4. Press down firmly on the spacer evenly on both sides. Allow a few minutes for the adhesive to dry on the
cassette.
5. Reinsert the cassette into the machine and test as needed.
6. Please perform this procedure on every MFC9200c that may come in for repair to your
location.

Note: this spacer provides an increase in pressure to eliminate paper jams when the paper is low in the
cassette. This part is provided at NO CHARGE to repair this problem only.
