exercises for recovery

Regular exercises are important to help you after surgery. your orthopaedic surgeon and physical
therapist may recommend that you exercise 20 to 30 minutes, two or three times a day.

1. In bed, slowly push your foot up and down. Repeat several times a day. You can do this exercise
immediately after surgery.
2. Keep your heel on the bed and bend your knee. Then straigten you leg again. Repeat ten times,
three or four times a day.
3. Move your ankle in a circular motion. Repeat five times in each direction, three or four times a
day.
4. Move your leg out to the side as far as you can and then back. Repeat ten times, three or four
times a day.
5. Stand up and lift your knee, but not too high. Hold for two or three seconds. Repeat ten times,
three or four times a day.

Latihan teratur sangat penting untuk membantu Anda setelah operasi. ahli bedah ortopedi dan terapi
fisik mungkin menyarankan agar Anda berolahraga 20 sampai 30 menit, dua atau tiga kali sehari.

tiga atau empat kali sehari.

5. Berdiri dan angkat lutut Anda, tapi tidak terlalu tinggi. Tahan selama dua atau tiga detik. Ulangi
sepuluh kali, tiga atau empat kali sehari

Kalimat Perintah (Imperative Sentence)

A. Kalimat perintah (imperative sentence) digunakan untuk memberikan perintah (command),

yaitu menyuruh orang untuk melakukan sesuatu dan memberikan larangan (prohibition), yaitu
melarang orang untuk melakukan sesuatu.

B. Kalimat ini menggunakan katakerja bentuk pertama, baik katakerja yang tidak beraturan
(irregular verbs) maupun katakerja yang beraturan (regular verbs). Untuk memberikan
perintah atau larangan, kita tidak perlu menyebutkan subject-nya (pelakunya). Menggunakan
kata " please /pli:z/ " untuk memperhalus perintah dan larangan. Please bisa ditempatkan diawal
kalimat ataupun diakhir kalimat.

C. Contoh memberikan perintah (giving command):

1. Please, go to school.
Pergilah ke sekolah.
2. Please, help me.
Tolonglah saya.
3. Please, study hard.
Belajarlah dengan keras.
4. Please, write down the sentence.
Catatlah kalimat tersebut.
5. Please, read the letter.
Bacalah surat tersebut.
6. Please, do the homework.
Kerjakanlah PR tersebut.
7. Please, come early.
Datanglah pagi-pagi/awal.
8. Please, catch the rabbit.
Tangkaplah kelinci tersebut.
9. Please, smile.
Senyumlah.
10. Please, open the door.
Bukalah pintu.
 11. Please, close the window.
Tutuplah jendela.
12. Please, tell about it.
Ceritakanlah tentang benda.

D. Contoh memberikan larangan (giving prohibition), menggunakan don't /dont/ artinya

jangan.

1. Don't cry, please.

Janganlah menangis.
2. Don't leave me, please.
Janganlah tinggalkan saya.
3. Don't say that, please.
Janganlah katakan itu.
4. Don't do that, please.
Janganlah lakukan itu.
5. Don't go out, please.
Janganlah pergi keluar.
6. Don't ask them, please.
Janganlah tanyakan mereka.
7. Don't answer the question, please.
Janganlah jawab pertanyaan tersebut.
8. Don't touch the rose, please.
Janganlah sentuh mawar tersebut.
9. Don't drink coffee, please.
Janganlah minum kopi.

Janganlah sebut nama saya.
11. Don't tell him, please.

3. Janganlah tanam mawar merah tersebut.
4. Janganlah sembunyikan perasaan kamu.
5. Janganlah berhenti disini.
6. Janganlah melanggar janji kamu.
7. Janganlah bicara dengan mereka.
8. Janganlah mengganggu dia(pr).
9. Janganlah menggendong bayi tersebut.
10. Janganlah menunda rapat tersebut.
11. Janganlah membuat sebuah kesalahan.

G. Contoh memberikan perintah dengan kata sifat (adjective).
