Point: Prosecuting the British and other European nations to be removed from China,
because they were forcing the Chinese to make decision that they had no choice on.

Witness Name: Edict from the Qianlong Emperor to George III, in response to the
Macartney mission (1793)

In this Document it shows how the Chinese did not want to have a their rights taken away by the
british.

Question #1: Was there a need for importing the manfactures of outside bararians for your own
produce.

Answer #1: No, there was not.

Question #2: Was China collapsing from during this time.

Answer #2: Yes, This was a tragic time for China and their economy was collaspsing from the
British.

Answer #3: Yes

Question #4: What did they want to bring over

Answer #4: They wanted to bring over Tea, Silk, and porcelain
Question #5: Did they want to trade any of that with China

Answer #5: Yes, But China had no need for that stuff so they didnt want to trade with the
british.
