Overview
Project Builder is the primary entry point for performing Project Management in SAP. It is a very large
and complex transaction. This document will discuss the functionality and usage of Project Builder
giving the user a head start on working in this tool.

Technical Updates
There are several key OSS Notes which should be applied to SAP to support the use of Project Builder.
Most of the notes are to improve system performance when opening, working, and saving a project in
Project Builder. The simplest method of limiting system performance impacts is to select Display in the
User Settings option of Project Builder. Then only open for change the lowest level you plan on
changing.

OSS Note: 617591 Table Indexes do not exist

This note applies when Project Builder is using Procurement integration by creating Material
Reservations or Purchase Requisitions.

There are several options for creating new Activities. The Internal Activity is
shown. External, Costs, and Service Activities can also be created. Rules for creation of
