Nicotiana rustica is ubiquitous in the rainforest of the southern part of

Mexico; specifically Campeche and Yucatan. The mapacho is located in


southern America. This species is the most potent variety of tobacco as it
contains nine times Nicotine than common tobacco( Nicotiana
tabaccum). Mostly used for etheogenic purposes in South America. In
Vietnam cheap ones are commonly smoked after meals to aid digestion
or taken along side with green tea.
Nicotiana glauca is a native of Argentina, Paraguay and Bolivia but now
common to California. It appears to be among the list of toxic medications
in California, Texas and North Carolina. Some native Americans substitute
it for native tobacco to enhance spiritual experiences or for its
hallucinogenic effects.
Nicotiana. Tabaccum native to the tropical and subtropical America and
commonly found in Europe, China and India. It was discovered by
Christopher Columbus on his first voyage to the West Indies, Hispaniola. In
Mexico it is used for visionary and therapeutic ends associated with deities.
Nicotiana. Africana it is the only species indigenous to Africa. It is
endemic(unique) to Namibia and survives Tropically or subtropically in
Rocky areas or shrub lands.
Nicotiana persica cultivated in Iran and mainly grown for its pretty
flowers as an ornamental other than for tobacco.
Nicotiana benthamiana. First collected on the north Coast side of
Australia by Benjamin Bynoe in 1837.It was used by Australians as
stimulants. Mostly located among rocks on hills and cliffs and indigenous to
Australia.
