UNKNOWN ALUMINUM TENSILE TESTING
Tensile testing is one of the most important of all
mechanical tests, since it provides the strength
parameters on which engineering design and the
structural usage of metals based.

(c) The hardness of unknown specimen was measured on Rockwell
hardness testing machine on B scale . In the table there are several
values of hardness was found and from those the mean value of
hardness was calculated.

The least deviation in Mechanical properties of unknown Aluminum

Sample C was found with material Aluminum 6061 T6, so its proved
that the unknown Sample C is 6061 T6 type of Aluminum.

CONCLUSIONS:-

The above comparison tables states that the least percentage

deviations in mechanical properties of unknown Aluminum Sample C
was found with Aluminum 6061 T6 material ,which represented that
unknown material is 6061 T6 type of aluminum because lesser
deviation in mechanical properties of two materials leads to similar
type of materials.
