I choose this article because in this article give me some information about language
is extinct. This article told me that preservation can occur in two ways.

4. Explain breafly in four or five senteces what the article is about.

This article talked about Languages seem to be converging to a smaller number, as

language like english seem to eat up regional ones. The three language used the most
by first language spekers today are chinese, english, and spanish. English is being
used more and more as the main language for business, science, and popular culture.
When a language is lost, meaning no living person can teach another, a world
perspective is lost. Languages are much like living creatures that become endangered
when numbers dwindle. Local natural disaster, war, and famine are some of the
reason languages slip through the cracks of history. Languages also so become
endangered when they are not passed on to childern or when a metropolitan language
dominates over others.s

5. What is the writers message or purpose in writing this article?

To give information about language is extinct. And writers message in this article is
presrvation can occur in two ways. First, linguists can study moribund languages and
seek to preserve the components of the language: the sounds, the vocabulary, the
grammar, and the traditions. The second way is to teach children the language and
have linguists advise on language maintenance.

6. Give your personal comment on the article as a conclusion of you article review.
My opinion, if we want to learn or to speak foreign, we must to learn and speak with
good mother language. So, whenever we learn to language foreign not forget mother
language and can with maximum to know meaning, history, etc about this. If we are
can not to appreciated of our mother language, who can?
